Mariah Carey has confirmed she is married.

The ‘Touch My Body’ singer admits she has never been happier since tying the knot with rapper Nick Cannon on April 30.

Mariah, who met Nick while shooting the video for her new single ‘Bye Bye’ six weeks ago - told People magazine: “We really do feel we are soulmates. I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me!”

The US magazine has exclusive photos of Mariah, 38, and Nick, 27, marrying at sunset on her Bahamas estate.

The pop superstar wore a traditional white gown and veil, while Nick complemented her outfit in a smart white suit and tie.

He praised his new wife, saying: “She is beautiful on the outside and 10 times as beautiful on the inside.”

Simon Cowell contemplated suicide in his teens.

The ‘American Idol’ judge hated the strict rules in school and couldn’t find anything to spark his interest or inspire him.

He confessed: “I was always bored. I didn’t like the rules and I didn’t like discipline. So when someone said to me, ‘These are the best days of your life,’ I actually thought about jumping off a bridge. I was like, ‘If it gets any worse than this I’m done,’ because I hated school and I hated my life.”

Simon has also revealed the criticism he received when he was growing up and starting his career in the music business made him the success he is today.

He added to Parade.com: “No one gave me any handouts when I started. I had to work my way up. I certainly learned more when people criticised me than when they lied to me and said what I was doing was right.

“You cannot survive in this business unless you know when you’ve made a mistake. So I would feel guilty about giving people fake hope when I genuinely believe they have no chance.”

LONDON —  “Rehab” singer Amy Winehouse was arrested in London on Wednesday on suspicion of drug possession, police and her spokesman said.

Winehouse’s spokesman, Chris Goodman, said the arrest is connected to a video that is alleged to show the troubled singer taking drugs at a party in her home in north London. The video was speculated to show Winehouse using crack.

London’s Metropolitan Police said a 24-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of drugs possession. Goodman confirmed his client was in police custody.

“Amy Winehouse voluntarily attended a London police station today by appointment. She was arrested in order to be interviewed and is cooperating fully with inquiries,” Goodman said in a statement. “The interview relates to a video handed to police earlier this year,” he said.

Britain’s The Sun tabloid in January published still images from a video that it claimed showed Winehouse inhaling fumes from a small pipe. The images were said to have been filmed during a party at her London home.

The star was also shown apparently snorting ecstasy and cocaine and admitting to taking six Valium. Shortly after The Sun published still photographs of the video, Winehouse entered a London rehabilitation center.

Hollywood actor Ashton Kutcher is contemplating a career in the porn industry after he was inspired by Jenna Jameson.

The 30-year-old star plays the lead role in new movie Spread and he insists the sex comedy was so close to an adult film, he could actually take up the profession.

And Kutcher is convinced that if world-famous Porn Star Jameson can make a multi-million dollar empire out of the erotic movie industry, then it must be a career worth considering.

He tells Mtv.com, ” I (made) a sort of, like, a porno-pseudo-comedy movie. So maybe I’ll do some more porno.

“It worked for Jenna Jameson. I was actually in London last week, and they knew who Ron Jeremy was. He’s a famous porn star in London as well.

“I didn’t realize that porn stars were famous in other countries. I thought London had their own. Apparently they don’t. I think we have, as a country, kind of a corner on that market, so I was thinking about venturing that way a little further.”.

Usher has blasted Noel Gallagher over his comments about Glastonbury headliner Jay-Z.

The R’n'B singer believes the Oasis star is wrong to say Jay-Z shouldn’t headline the music festival, and insists the rapper will prove him wrong with a spectacular performance.

Usher said: “It really shocked me that he said Jay-Z was the wrong choice. Jay-Z is an incredible artist and headliner.

“I saw him perform at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and you’re not getting better than that.”

Usher is not the first person to blast Noel, who claimed booking Jay-Z was “wrong” and went against the festival’s “tradition of guitar music”.

Last week, event organiser Michael Eavis hit back, saying: “Why did Noel need to get involved? It was a bit weird, to be honest. He should give someone else a chance. He needn’t have said that and I was disappointed he did.”

Meanwhile, Eavis has revealed he is desperate to secure Amy Winehouse for the festival.

Lindsay Lohan has gone from nympho  to klepto . Last night she was spotted getting close with Nicole Richie’s man Joel Madden at Hornitos (above). But that’s not her only caper. The New York Post is reporting that Lindsay allegedly ganked a fur coat from a Columbia student back in January. And has been photographed wearing the coat:

Masha Markova, 22, believed she had forever lost the prized jacket - a gift from her grandmother - while attending a private birthday party at 1Oak in the Meatpacking District in the early-morning hours of Jan. 26.
She added that at one point, she was seated next to Lohan, and recalled putting the mink in a common bin with other jackets. It was gone when she prepared to leave 1Oak after an hour, Markova said.
Two weeks later, Markova flipped through the Feb. 11 edition of OK! Magazine and couldn’t believe her eyes - Lohan was photographed the night of Jan. 26 wearing the very same fur coat.

Masha, who is now seeking $10,000 in damages, eventually got the coat back after her lawyer contacted Lindsay’s attorney Blaire Berk.

Rihanna is singing a new tune.

The Good Girl Gone Bad, 20, has played coy – except for minor PDA in a pool in Jamaica – when it comes to her “friendship” with fellow R&B stunner Chris Brown, 19. But the “Umbrella” singer unsealed her glossy lips in Elle’s June issue.

“We’ve always been friends,” she tells the magazine, “but we’re very close now.”

Although the Barbados-bred beauty, who is currently on tour with Kanye West, doesn’t comment any further on her relationship with Brown, she does put to rest the rumors regarding the other man in her life: mentor and boss Jay-Z.

“I get asked about it all the time and I’m like, ‘You’re asking, but you know the answer,’” she says of the rap mogul, who married Beyoncé in April – to Rihanna’s surprise. “I don’t even like to address it anymore.”

Britney Spears will get more time with her sons during visitation, a court ruled Tuesday.

“We are so pleased with Britney’s progress, and we are appreciative of the court’s recognition of this progress,” Spears’s parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears, said in statement after a hearing attended by the pop star and her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

It was not clear how much more time Spears was granted. Federline’s attorney characterized the court order as “an expansion of time.”

“It is a cautious step, but a step forward nonetheless,” said lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan. “We are seeing signs of [Britney’s] progress, and consistency over time is something welcome by Kevin … The children are doing great.”

Spears, with lawyer Blair Berk and both of her parents, smiled as she left the courtroom and headed for her SUV, but did not talk to the press. Earlier, during a break in the hearing, the singer was seen looking teary-eyed. However, during a second break, she smiled and held her mother’s hand as she went back into the courtroom.

During that break, Spears and her lawyers, as well as Federline and his attorney, convened to adjacent rooms outside of the courtroom.

The hearing began around 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday. Spears, wearing a knee-length brown and white dress, was accompanied by her lawyer and both of her parents. Federline, wearing a tan pinstriped suit, was with Kaplan.

Spears has spent the last several months keeping a relatively low profile – and staying out of trouble. The singer was hospitalized at UCLA Medical Center’s psych ward in January. Her custody arrangement has consisted of only monitored visitation rights with her sons, Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, several times a week – but no overnight privileges. Her father and a lawyer maintain legal control of her affairs until a July 31 hearing.

Since her father took control of Spears’s life, the singer has been spending more time with her family – including her previously estranged mom. (She recently attended a baby shower for her sister, Jamie Lynn, in Kentwood, La.)

The ‘Definitely, Maybe’ actor - who has been dating Scarlett for more than a year - popped the question to the actress who excitedly said “yes”.

Scarlett’s representative Marcel Pariseau confirmed: “They are both thrilled.”

The couple are yet to set a wedding date.

The 23-year-old star proudly showed off her diamond ring at New York’s Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala last night (05.05.08), accessorising it with a tight Dolce and Gabbana dress.

Hugh Jackman - who became close friends with Scarlett, after starring with her in ‘Scoop’ and ‘The Prestige’ - recently gave the couple his blessing.

He said: “Ryan Reynolds is one of the funniest guys I’ve ever met. And we had a really good chat about his girlfriend, because I’m very fond of Scarlett.
