Jamie Lynn Spears Is Pregnant

Britney Spears’s 16-year-old sister Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant, Nickelodeon confirmed Tuesday.
“We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being,” says the network, which carries her series Zoey 101.
A rep for Spears was not immediately available for comment.
The network statement follows Internet reports that Spears’s mother had confirmed the pregnancy to OK! magazine.
Spears, a high school junior who is 10 years younger than Britney, had until now escaped much of the attention about her personal life that has surrounded her sister.
Jamie Lynn stars as a schoolgirl at the fictitious Pacific Coast Academy in Zoey 101, finishing its third season next month as one of Nickelodeon’s highest-rated shows.
She recently told the Associated Press that didn’t have a serious boyfriend.
“I kind of just keep my options open,” she said. “I have a bunch of friends that I always hang out with, a bunch of guy friends.”
She added that her priority was to focus on her real-life schoolwork before considering any additional TV series or film roles.
“I’m going to try to graduate before I do anything else,” she told AP.
I guess it runs in the family. You would think she would learn from her older sister what NOT to do.

omg!!! no wayy!!
i cant believe this!! this is depressing, i used to look up to her now i realize she is as bad a role model as her sister.
im dissopointed to hear such bad news from a 16 year old girl, but at least she is taking full responsibility and resonable actions in this situation.
but i have one thing to say to her:
Girl, do not end up like your sister. do you really want the attention and gossip focused on you now??

You people on here have no right to call her a ho or so on so what she got pregnant young but shes taking responsiblity of herself I think it could possible be a good thing she could seriously show the younger mothers out there their not alone and yea things do happen but you can continue on with your life WITH YOUR CHILD! or it could go the other way and young women could see how much she has to give up and wait either way it helps young women in both situations I dout Jamie Lynn will end up like her sister she sees what Britney is going through and you know people do learn from others mistake dont come down on this girl so hard shes a young mother whether you people like it or not

I agree with princess. She like heaps of people had sex at sixteen. She is now going to face the burden of teenage motherhood and dosn’t need crap from a bunch of people who don’t even know her and find it entertaining to judge her. She is a person who has made a decision to keep the baby and should be respected for that not criticsed.
Although getting pregnant is not a smart move, other people have no right to be so judgemental.
