Always doing their best to help out those in need, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are pledging their support to the many victims of a giant earthquake rocking the island of Haiti on Tuesday (January 12).
The Hollywood power couple released a statement reading: “We are devastated by the news from Haiti. We will work closely with our good friend Wyclef Jean to support the humanitarian efforts on the island and help those who have been injured and left without homes and shelter.”
Musician Wyclef Jean is spearheading the collection efforts - which follow the 7.0-magnitude earthquake which has left “thousands” who are feared to be dead.
Jean told ET of the situation, “I cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is, and idle hands will only make this tragedy worse. The over 2 million people in [capital] Port-au-Prince tonight face catastrophe alone. We must act now.”
