Good old Clint Eastwood labeled all politicians as “sell outs” last week. And I gotta tell you I don’t think Clint was ready for that defining moment that brought change to America. I hate to say it, but why speak now? He does have political experience, however.
Eastwood governed Californian beach haven Carmel-by-the-sea from 1986 to 1988. He insists it was as high as his political ambitions go.
He says, “I enjoyed being Mayor of Carmel, but you do see that it is very difficult to get things done. You just have to lose your soul. You have to bullshit people.”
“You have to deal with people you don’t care for and will never be friends with, so you kind of sell yourself out to be a politician. You have to kiss it up with the world. That ain’t (sic) my style.”
Get over it Clint it was time for a change. 78 is kind of getting there you know.
