Miley Cyrus gets learner’s permit and a Porsche!
Even teen pop sensations can get hand-me-downs.
After earning her learner’s permit on Wednesday, Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus, who turned16 Nov. 23, received an early Christmas present: Her mom, Tish, handed over the keys to her Porsche Cayenne.
“Tish got a new car recently, so she’s giving Miley her old car,” a source says. “She’s so excited. Her mom lets her drive to work when she’s with her.”
Earlier this year, Cyrus told People that her dream sweet 16 birthday gift would be “a car, but we’ll see … I don’t want to name a certain kind. I want my parents to know that I’m happy with anything that they get me. I know I’d be really lucky to even get a car.”
It’s been a big week for Cyrus. Along with getting her first set of wheels, the singer also picked up her first Golden Globe nomination – for Best Original Song, “I Thought I Lost You,” from her movie Bolt.
The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards will be broadcast Jan. 11 from The Beverly Hilton at 8 p.m. on NBC.
