In a written statement her spokeswoman said: “I am thrilled to announce that Eva Longoria and Tony Parker, who have been dating steadily for two years, are officially engaged.”

The pair are set to marry in France Parker’s home country next summer, in a ceremony which her spokeswoman said would be “big and happy” with “lots of family and friends”.
Parker is said to have flown over to Los Angeles following a basketball game and surprised her with the proposal as she returned home from work.
Full marks to Parker, as it has been described as “romantic and perfect”.
The announcement has put paid to rumours that things between the pair were rocky, with reports earlier this year claiming that they went on a trip to Paris together to patch things up.

Although it will be Parker’s first marriage, it will be Longoria’s second as she was previously wed to General Hospital star Tyler Christopher for two years.
