Eva’s role as Gabrielle Solis is close to getting an extension, as the show’s creator Marc Cherry has said that he plans to take the hit ABC show into a ninth season, extending his previous plan by two full seasons.

With Cherry reportedly making the announcement earlier today at a cake-cutting ceremony for the show’s 100th episode, an insider tells TV Guide that Eva and co-stars Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman are all on board, while Nicollette Sheridan’s position is still unknown.
