Lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan admits he has been spared at least $500,000 (£250,000) in the case, because every detail of Spears’ day-to-day life is documented on gossip websites and magazines - so he has no need to hire a private investigator to do the dirty work for him.

He says, “If I had to hire an investigator or investigators to provide me with the intelligence about what’s going on, where they are, how are they doing, it would be north of half a million to a million dollars… as opposed to buying People magazine for $3.95 on Thursday morning or going on (website) tmz.

The ‘What Happens in Vegas’ star revealed his early career as a model helped him overcome any shyness about showing off his body.

Kutcher said: “When I was spotted as a model they flew me to Italy for an ‘audition’ and I was asked to try on a lot of thongs. I was stripped to the buff and I started pulling them on and off. All colours and shapes.”

Despite his muscular figure and chiselled looks, former lifeguard Kutcher admits the thong is a hard garment for even him to wear well.

Getting a head start, on Friday Jessica and Romo met for lunch at Katsuya in Hollywood. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback, dressed casually in shorts and sneakers, arrived at the restaurant in a cab for the lunch with Simpson, who wore a sexy black short-shorts and high heels. He greeted the singer with a kiss and helped her out of her Range Rover.

The lunch date comes as Simpson’s rep denies newspaper and Internet reports that Romo and Simpson have broken up. “It’s not true,” rep Cindi Berger tells PEOPLE.

“I am a mother, wife and working woman in the first place, clothes do not play such a big role in my life than they do in Carrie’s,” the 43-year-old actress told The Associated Press after the Berlin premiere of her upcoming film based on the popular HBO series.

“And there is no favorite designer or accessory as there is Manolo Blahnik for Carrie — there are so many talented and exciting designers, I could not possibly choose one favorite,” Parker said Friday, sporting a white petticoat with a black girdle and black stiletto heels.

Former basketball star Dennis Rodman has been charged with spousal battery in connection with his arrest at a Los Angeles hotel earlier this month (May08).

The star was arrested after allegedly attacking his girlfriend during a drunken row at the hotel on 30 April (08) - and entered rehab in Fort Lauderdale, five days later on 5 May (08).

Rodman has been charged with three misdemeanours including one count of brandishing a deadly weapon and dissuading a witness.

Dolly Parton is furious with satellite radio shock jock Howard Stern after he broadcast what he claimed was a segment from her online audiobook on his show.

The clearly-doctored audio manipulated her speaking voice to create racist and sexually vulgar comments, which Stern played to his listeners last week (06May08).

Stern and his crew joked about the audio, stating they were “shocked to hear Dolly talking like that”, and the host himself called it “disgusting” - but the country star was far from amused.

The doctored tape also featured Parton apparently ridiculing Burt Reynolds, Kenny Rogers and beloved TV host Johnny Carson.

The angry singer says, “I have never been so shocked, hurt and humiliated in all my life. I cannot believe what Howard Stern has done to me.

“I would never have such vulgar things come out of my mouth. They have done editing or some sort of trickery to make this horrible, horrible thing.

“Please accept my apology for them and certainly know I had nothing to do with this… I just wanted you to know that I am completely devastated by this”.

PHOENIX - DMX has pleaded not guilty to felony drug possession and misdemeanor animal cruelty charges.

A judge entered the plea for the musician-actor (real name: Earl Simmons) at a brief court hearing Thursday. Simmons was late for court.

The 37-year-old rapper was indicted last week on 11 counts, including felony marijuana and paraphernalia possession and seven counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty.

Despite her denials, insiders insist the couple has separated, and Dallas Cowboys star Romo has been telling his pals he’s no longer dating the singer.

She tells the publication, “This article could come out and Tony and I could be broken up”.

And the rumours of a split have swelled after Romo was spotted partying with a bevy of beauties at a Chicago, Illinois bar at the weekend (10May08), while Simpson was working in Los Angeles.

One insider at the party tells Life & Style magazine, “He was surrounded by girls. We had to restrain someone who forcibly tried to make her way to his table… He zeroed in on one blonde all night, and that blonde wasn’t Jessica Simpson”.

The reported split comes at an awkward time for Simpson - her allegedly pregnant little sister Ashlee is to wed fiancee Pete Wentz this weekend (17May08).
