Usmagazine.com is reporting that The Associated Press has begun preparing Britney Spears’ obituary.

“We are not wishing it, but if Britney passed away, it’s easily one of the biggest stories in a long time,” AP entertainment editor Jesse Washington tells the magazine.

“I think one would agree that Britney seems at risk right now,” Washington says. “Of course, we would never wish any type of misfortune on anybody and hope that we would never have to use it until 50 years from now … but if something were to happen, we would have to be prepared.”

Washington also tells Us that the AP has a “pretty extensive obituary operation,” and that staffers are “constantly adding people.”

It’s not uncommon for news organizations to have obituaries prepared for celebrities and other high-profile individuals, but they are generally much older than the 26-year-old Spears.

Speed Racer’s new Trixie says she gets plenty of thrills at the track – with only a 1-horsepower engine.

“I’ve learned to love gambling,” Christina Ricci told PEOPLE at the grand opening party for the Palazzo Las Vegas. “I was in Australia for a few months and gambling is like a national pastime there, so I learned to love betting on horses, and now I even put in a few football bets and I’m kind of obsessed and into it. Gambling is pretty good.”

Thursday night, blackjack was her game of choice. When she wasn’t sitting on her boyfriend’s lap, Ricci was doubling down and splitting aces with Angie Harmon, her hubby Jason Seyhorn and Jerry O’ Connell.

Ricci, 27, seemed to find a way to win at Palazzo’s blackjack tables. Horse racing was another matter.

“I have no strategy (with horses) and I never pick winners,” she says. “But it’s still fun.”

Christina Ricci just moved up on the cool meter but she better be careful with the gambling. She’s going to become one of those girls that becomes a compulsive gambler and wind up at the riverboats 3-4 times week.

Rumorfical is going to Las Vegas next week and hopefully we have better luck then Christina Ricci!

Conan O’Brien is already getting ready for his move to L.A. next year, when he’s expected to take over for Jay Leno on The Tonight Show – by buying a 10.5 million home in Brentwood, Calif., the Los Angeles Times reports.

The TV host’s new pad is a New England style six-bedroom home in a gated compound. The master suit includes a sitting room, balcony and two bathrooms, the paper says.

Other amenities at the 44-year-old star’s new home include a screening room, expansive views, a 1,500-bottle wine room, a pool, spa, library, 10-foot ceilings and six fireplaces.

Brad Renfro died this week at the age of 25. The L.A. County Coroner tells TMZ.com that Brad had a freshly inked tattoo across his back, that read, “FUCK ALL Y’ALL.

Renfro got the tattoo on Sunday. His body was found Tuesday.

The 25-year-old actor was found dead at his home in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning, according to TMZ.com.

The cause of death has not been determined, however, Renfro has had a history of drug abuse.

The Client star had been working to stay clean and sober after a string of drug offences, including attempted heroin possession.

The actor was accused of violating his probation after failing to enroll in a drug treatment program, following his conviction for attempted possession of heroin last summer (07).

A Los Angeles Superior Court Judge and LA Deputy District Attorney warned Renfro that if he failed to enrol in a 18-month to three-year outpatient program he would be jailed.

This was the second time Renfro had violated his probation.

Renfro pleaded guilty to the charge of attempted possession in February 2006 after he was caught in a police sting in December 2005.

Ironically, he was inspired to become an actor after starring in a school production sponsored by drug organization DARE, aimed at teaching kids about the dangers of drugs, according to imdb.com.

He first found himself in trouble with the law for his drug problems in 1998 when he was arrested in his native Tennessee, when police pulled him over and allegedly found cocaine and marijuana in his pants and socks.

Despite his troubled personal life, Renfro starred in a number of cult films; as well as The Client, he also appeared in Ghost World, Apt Pupil and The Jacket.

Pretty strange that he would get a tattoo like that and it seemed like he knew what was coming, tragic.

TMZ has uncovered more of the Tom Cruise video that has America saying, “Man, Matt Lauer was really onto something.”

In this clip, Cruise receives an introduction worthy of a heavyweight boxer, and then salutes a picture of L. Ron Hubbard on a stage full of people.

After watching all these Tom Cruise clips, I would say that he’s not gay but dam is he crazy!  I mean seriously, he seems to have lost it.

Matthew McConaughey is expecting his first child with girlfriend Camila Alves.

The 38-year-old ‘Sahara’ actor announced the happy news on his website yesterday, saying he is “excited” about experiencing parenthood for the first time.

He wrote: “My girlfriend Camila and I made a baby together. It’s three months growing in her womb and all looks healthy and lively so far.

“We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God, and so excited for the adventure that will come in raising this child, being mother and a father, and shepherding him or her through this life.”

Matthew - who recently wrapped ‘Fool’s Gold’, his second film alongside Kate Hudson - met 24-year-old Brazilian model Camila more than a year ago, and the pair have been inseparable ever since.

In the message, Matthew added: “Wish us the best, keep us in your prayers, and God bless evolution. Thanks for being fans of me and my work and now this new and miraculous chapter in my life, as me and Camila and our child do our best to just keep living.”

His representative Alan Nierob added: “Matthew is euphoric. He couldn’t be happier.”

Matthew recently gave an interview to America’s Playboy magazine in which he revealed he was looking forward to having children and couldn’t wait for “some little McConaugheys running around.”

Actor Brad Renfro has been found dead aged just 25.

‘The Client’ star, who had a history of drug and alcohol abuse, was discovered at a Los Angeles apartment yesterday morning (15.01.08) after spending the night with friends.

Craig Harvey, chief investigator for the Los Angeles country coroner, said: “Drug overdose is a possibility considering his history, but right now all we have is the history of his drinking the previous night. He was last known to be alive during the morning hours and he was snoring.

“He was found unresponsive in a residence. Paramedics responded and he was pronounced dead at 9am.”

An autopsy is set to be carried out today (16.01.08).

The ‘Sleepers’ star had just finished filming new movie ‘The Informers’ with Winona Ryder and Billy Bob Thornton.

Director Joel Schumacher discovered Renfro when he was just 12, casting him in 1994 mafia thriller ‘The Client’ alongside Susan Sarandon and Tommy Lee Jones.

Britney Spears’ visitation rights to her children remain suspended, ruled Commissioner Scott Gordon at LA’s Superior Court today. The next hearing is scheduled for February 19; the trial is set for April 9.

“The word victory is not something that Mr. Federline or his counsel would ascribe to the results of the court,” Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told reporters outside the courthouse. “There is no joyous feeling. This is a grave situation for everybody. And while we believe Mr. Federline is pleased that the court did make an order that we feel is appropriate, there is no joy in it for him.”

An insider tells In Touch that “while Kaplan showed sincere feelings for Britney, you could tell he was happy he won in court.” Testifying today were Kevin, two LAPD officers, Britney’s court-appointed monitor, her parenting coach and Kevin’s bodyguard.

Jessica Alba’s “ASS has got bigger by the second” since becoming pregnant.

The ‘Fantastic Four’ actress - who is expecting her first child with fiancé Cash Warren - says despite her ever-expanding derriere she is having the “best time ever”.

Alba said: “When you’re pregnant, your breasts are engorged and your stomach is getting bigger. And the ass, too, that is getting bigger by the second!

“But it’s awesome. It’s the best time ever. I have two movies coming out, a baby, a fiancé - everything.”

Jessica, 26, is currently taking a break from acting but hopes to get back in front of the camera before the baby is born.

She said: “I don’t know if anyone wants me in their movies when I’m six months pregnant.  Soon, I’ll get the fire and I’ll want to work again, but right now it’s a time to relax and sit back.”

Jessica also revealed she is taking her mind off the downsides of being pregnant by focusing on a domestic project.
