Justin Timberlake has postponed shows in Sacramento and San Jose, California as he fights to beat a sinus infection.

The pop superstar pulled the plug on Monday’s Sacramento show and Wednesday’s (12Sep07) San Jose concert after revealing he was feeling sick at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday.

Backstage, after claiming two of the night’s big awards, he said: “I just don’t fell well right now. I have this sinus thing going on.”

A spokesman for the singer says: “The shows have been rescheduled following a doctor mandated several day vocal rest prescribed to the artist to repair vocal strain inflicted during his MTV VMA performance and months of rigorous touring.”

Both postponed shows will now take place later this month.

Lindsay Lohan has another court date.

A judge Tuesday refused to dismiss portions of a lawsuit against the 21-year-old actress over an October 2005 accident in which her Mercedes-Benz collided with a van.

Superior Court Judge Michael L. Stern rejected a motion that argued the lawsuit lacked legal sufficiency, and set April 7 for the trial.

The California Highway Patrol concluded that Raymundo Ortega, a busboy, caused the accident by making an illegal U-turn, but he sued Lohan and is seeking at least $200,000 in damages.

Ortega was knocked out in the crash, said his attorney, Robert G. Klein.

Lohan and a female passenger sustained minor injuries.

Ortega’s suit contends that Lohan was fleeing paparazzi and was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

“This case is about responsibility and she’s not taking responsibility,” Klein said outside court.

Lohan’s attorney, David J. Ozeran, said outside court that there was no evidence that Lohan was intoxicated.

Last month, Lohan agreed to spend a day in jail and complete a drug treatment program after pleading guilty or no contest to misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges stemming from arrests earlier this year in Beverly Hills and Santa Monica.

In this case, movie stars (and their kids) are definitely not like the rest of us!

The cops found Kid Rock — and cited him for misdemeanor battery — after he allegedly slapped-up fellow Pam-ex Tommy Lee at the MTV VMAs yesterday.

The rap-rocker got the citation from police after they showed up to the Palms Hotel and Casino after 10:00 PM, Officer Bill Cassell tells the AP, and spoke to witnesses including MTV VJ Sway and rap producer Rich Nice. Cops didn’t detain Rock, and let him stay for the show after the fight, even though Tommy Lee — who was on the receiving end of the only blows that landed — got tossed.

The maximum punishment for misdemeanor battery is six months in jail, but Cassell says that that’s unlikely in this case.

Britney Spears has shocked again, flashing her panty-less private parts at a paparazzi photographer after her performance at Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Spears exposed herself while stepping into an awaiting limousine after leaving Las Vegas’ Bellagio hotel, where she partied with brother Bryan after her embarrassing awards show performance.

And while she was mocked for hitting the VMAs stage in just her undies, she made headlines for taking them off later - when she was caught without her pants by a photographer.

It’s not the first time Spears has been caught without underwear - in November last year Britney revealed all to a photographer during a night out with party pal Paris Hilton, just two months after giving birth to her second child Jayden James.

Spears’ gaffe came just hours after she disappointed the VMA audience with a disjointed and critically panned comeback performance of her new single Gimme More - her first major public appearance in four years.

A bystander said: “What is she thinking? She’s a mother of two and here she is flashing her goods to the world!”

GORDON Ramsay made a spectacle out of his testicles by burning them on a stove.He said: “The other day I was standing too close to the stove when I was cooking.

“I was wearing these cotton trousers and underneath I was going commando, suddenly, I felt this searing heat. I went, ‘F**k me, b*****ks to that,’ and for once I was spot on. My balls were burning.”

The 40-year-old then rushed straight to a private London clinic where an ultrasound scan was performed.

“I burnt my right b*****k and I’m in absolute agony,” he added, “You wouldn’t believe how much this hurts,”

Gordon continued: “I went to the hospital because of the excruciating pain. People think I went in for a knee injury, but that’s bulls**t.”

Brad Pitt says he is still friends with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston – and handled their breakup the best way he knew how.

“Jen and I still maintain a deep friendship and have a lot of life together that isn’t erased in any way,” the actor tells V magazine of the couple’s four-and-a-half year union, which ended in 2005.

“I don’t know how better to have handled [the split]. My view was, this was no one’s business in the end – at least in matters of the heart,” he says. “The thing guiding me then was, you don’t know how many days you have, and you need life to be everything you need it to be.”

Despite the intense attention to the couple, Pitt says he and Aniston did their best to ignore the frenzy. “The most important thing about that time was for Jen and me to figure out if – how do I put it? – if we didn’t want to go on without any outside influence. Is this where we got off? Have we taken this as far as we wanted to go?”

Adds Pitt, who now has four children with Angelina Jolie: “Those questions had to be answered before an attraction to Angie could be answered.”

Of his relationship with Jolie, 32, Pitt, 43, recalls fondly their time together when he was in Canada filming The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, which recently debuted at the Venice Film Festival.

“Angie was pregnant. It was a very nice time for us,” he says. “We stayed out in the woods by a river. We were in a big log cabin. So personally, it was a magical time.”

Luciano Pavarotti has died at the age of 71.

The Italian opera legend - who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year - died at his home in Modena at 5am local time today (06.09.07).

At his side were his second wife Nicoletta, his four daughters, his sister Gabriela, his nephews and other close relatives and friends, according to an email statement from his manager Terri Robson.

Pavarotti had three daughters with his first wife Adua - Lorenza, Cristina and Giuliana - and a three-year-old daughter, Alice, with Nicoletta.

When asked about her husband’s cancer battle earlier this year, Nicoletta said: “He’s fighting like a lion and he has never lost his heart.”

Pavarotti achieved worldwide fame after recording the theme song, ‘Nessun Dorma’, of the 1990 soccer World Cup, held in his native country.

He is credited with bringing operatic music to a mainstream audience, and was the first pop-opera star.

Pavarotti formed the famous Three Tenors with fellow opera stars Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras in 1990.

This guy was awesome and will be missed.

Comeback diva Britney Spears will perform her new (hit?) song, ‘Gimme More’ - with a little help from illusionist Criss Angel.

stage, nestled within the Palms Casino Resorts
Pearl Concert Theater, to perform “Gimme More,”
the first single from her forthcoming fifth album,

It’s good to be George’s girl, as Sarah Larson is finding out. The former Fear Factor winner accompanied George Clooney to the Venice and Deauville film festivals, while wearing $3 million worth of loaner Bulgari diamonds. The 28-year-old cocktail waitress from Las Vegas’ Moon nightclub in the Palms Casino Resort hasn’t left George’s side since she flew to France with him for the Deauville Film Festival on September 1. Hard to tell if it’s serious, but George has already introduced her to good friend Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana!

Wow, all it takes is the ability to eat some gross stuff and you are by Clooney’s side.

Britney Spears has been cleared of all allegations of child abuse in relation to her custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The pop star was under investigation by the Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) concerning her parenting of Sean Preston, 23 months, and Jayden James, 11 months, after an anonymous complaint was filed with the authorities in July.

The court files alleged the children had poor dental hygiene and bad eating and sleeping habits, thanks to Spears’ parenting skills.
But Spears’ lawyer, Laura Wasser, announced on Tuesday the child abuse claims are no longer an issue in the singer’s battle for custody of her two sons.

Wasser says: “It does not appear the county will pursue any action at this time.”

Neither party knows the identity of the person who filed the complaint, but Wasser adds: “I’m trying to find out.”

Spears and Federline’s divorce was finalised in July with both parties agreeing to joint custody of the boys. However, Federline is now seeking full custody following Spears’ recent erratic behaviour.
