Brad Pitt has a “radar” which sniffs out paparazzi. The actor says his “instincts” allowed him to detect photographers hiding on the set of his new movie ‘The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford’.

Brad told the USA Today newspaper: “You develop radar. Like I know when there’s someone in the bushes 300 yards away shooting. I know to recognise that feeling. On the Canadian set, there was a guy in total camouflage, who commandoed his way on knee and elbow. And I know that feeling. It’s inexplicable, it’s just one of those instincts.”

The film’s director Andrew Dominik confirmed Brad’s sixth sense for snappers: “He would always spot the paparazzi hiding in the trees.”

Brad, who plays American outlaw Jesse James, found it easy to relate to his character because he often feels “paranoid” and “hunted”.

He explained: “I understand the essence of paranoia. I understand being hunted, to some degree. I understand a bounty on my head.”

The 43-year-old star, who won a Best Actor award at the Venice Film Festival for his portrayal of the gun-toting robber, insists he and lover Angelina Jolie can handle the pressures of fame - but finds it upsetting when their children are thrust into the limelight.

Jenny McCarthy vividly remembers the harrowing realization three years ago that her son Evan, now 5, was autistic.

“It started with hand flapping,” McCarthy, 34, told Oprah Winfrey on Tuesday’s show. There were other telltale indications in her child’s behavior, but as McCarthy said, “You only look for the good signs.”

Then came the day when Evan suffered a seizure, which doctors – once she got him to the hospital – blamed on a fever. Three weeks later, however, Evan got “a stoned look on his face” while McCarthy and the boy were visiting her parents.

This was another seizure, she thought, “but this one is different. He’s not convulsing.” Instead, “foam was coming out of his mouth, (and) and after a few minutes, I felt his heart stop,” she said.

When the paramedics arrived, she told them about Evan’s heart. “They looked at me like I was crazy. I don’t know why,” she said. Only, as they discovered for themselves, the child’s heart was no longer beating, so they administered CPR.

“Why, God? Why me … Why? Why? Why?” McCarthy recalled thinking in those desperate moments, but then, she said, an inner voice came over her. “Everything’s going to come out okay.”

Britney Spears is a “habitual, frequent and continuous” user of alcohol and controlled substances and now must undergo twice-weekly random testing, a judge in the singer’s custody case ruled.

Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon also ruled that both Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline may not consume alcohol or non-prescription controlled substances at least 12 hours prior to being with their children.

Spears, alone, was ordered to meet with a “parenting coach” at least twice a week for a total of eight hours, according to court documents released Tuesday.

“The parenting coach is to observe (Spears’s) interaction with the minor children and her parenting skills,” the Commissioner wrote. The coach will provide lawyers on both sides with written reports, and will appear in court at the ex-couple’s next hearing on Nov. 26.

Both Spears and Federline have also been ordered to complete a program called “Parenting Without Conflict,” and must enroll by the end of the week. They must attend joint co-parenting counseling, and both sides must decide on selection of a therapist by week’s end.

Angelina Jolie on her past drug use: “I’ve done coke, heroin, ecstasy, LSD, everything,but the one that had the worst effect for me was pot. I felt silly and giggly and I hate feeling like that.” (Yea who doesn’t…..)

Brad Pitt is known for his love of marijuana and I guess he’s not smoking much these days!

Brad Pitt – who plays Rusty Ryan in the film and who is well-known to have a love for the weed – is said to have previously lived in Amsterdam for a few months in 1991 (CC#37, Celebrity stoners). In fact, the architecture and remodeling junkie is rumored to own a place in Amsterdam’s Jordaan area in his multinational real estate portfolio.

It has been previously and widely reported that Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are “hooked” on marijuana. As reported by the tabloids, the Pitts’ idea of a perfect night is getting high together at home. They allegedly smoke every day, and are open about their marijuana use and are happy to smoke in public or at parties. Rumor has it that the pair were stoned when they met with then-President Bill Clinton.

O.J. Simpson was arrested Sunday and ordered to be held without bail in connection with an alleged armed robbery involving sports memorabilia that took place Thursday night in a Las Vegas hotel, according to police in the gaming capital.

The former football star, 60, has been charged with two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit burglary and burglary with a firearm, said Las Vegas Police Capt. James Dillon at a press conference Sunday.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in Las Vegas at 8 a.m. on Wednesday.

Authorities apprehended Simpson shortly after 11 a.m. in his room at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas and brought him to a police office, Dillon had earlier told the Associated Press.

Simpson was booked in the Clark County Detention Center, said Dillon. (Watch video of Simpson being escorted out in handcuffs.) He was described as cooperative when he was initially taken by arresting officers from his hotel to the robbery section of the Las Vegas jail, the police captain added.

TMZ.com has posted an audio tape of Simpson’s alleged confrontation at the Palace Station Casino on the night in question. The site reports that the tape was recorded by Thomas Riccio, who co-owns the auction house Universal Rarities and took Simpson to the room. Once inside, Simpson immediately starts yelling and repeatedly says, “Think you can steal my s— and sell it?”

Troubled star Lindsay Lohan has vowed to quit Hollywood in a bid to stay clean from drugs, according to her father.

Michael Lohan reunited with his daughter earlier this month in Utah, where the Mean Girls star is seeking counselling at the Cirque Lodge treatment centre.

He says: “When we finally came face to face we just clung on to each other and did not stop crying for at least half an hour.

“Lindsay said:, ‘Daddy, I have done some terrible things and been addicted to drugs but please believe me I will never do drugs again. I hate Hollywood and I don’t want to work there. I need a break and I am moving away. I will stop hanging around with the people that are bad for me.’

“She said she does not want to live in Hollywood as that is where the evil in her life happens.”

The pair haven’t seen each other since Michael went to prison in New York after he was found guilty of driving while intoxicated and other charges two years ago.

Scarlett Johansson has told boyfriend Ryan Reynolds she is “too young” to get married, according to reports.

The 30-year-old actor, who started dating Scarlett in April, is said to be crazy about the actress, but she doesn’t want to get tied down at 22.

A source is quoted by National Enquirer magazine as saying: “Ryan has been dropping hints about wedding plans but Scarlett put him in his place quickly. She feels too young to tie the knot.”

Although Scarlett isn’t ready to walk down the aisle, ‘The Nanny Diaries’ star is enjoying dating Ryan and hopes her marriage snub doesn’t result in them splitting up.

The source added: “She really likes him and doesn’t want the relationship to fall apart.”

Scarlett’s last serious relationship was with her ‘Black Dahlia’ co-star Josh Hartnett. The pair even shared an apartment in New York, but split after two years amid rumours he cheated on her.

‘Van Wilder’ star Ryan split from Canadian singer Alanis Morissette in February. They started dating in 2002 and got engaged in 2004.

Wow I thought Ryan Reynolds was cool before but this seals it, he better not let this super star get away.

Newlywed ‘Desperate Housewives’ star Eva Longoria has developed a true dislike for kissing co-stars since exchanging vows with basketball player Tony Parker in July.

The actress, who plays Gabrielle Solis on the hit show, admits she has never been comfortable locking lips with anyone but boyfriends and husbands - and now she absolutely hates puckering up for screen kisses.

She says: “It was weird for me before I was married. I hate the kissing. Kissing is the most intimate thing.”

And she hates the idea of kissing other men so much, she refuses to talk about it with her new husband.

She adds: “I’m not sure he’s happy with it, but he’s not the crazy husband about it. We don’t talk about it because it’s just not a comfortable thing to talk about.”

The Goldmans appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show and the Today Shows and offered reasons for publishing the book. Fred Goldman said that “In the beginning, our feeling, perhaps like a lot of folks, was that, one, we didn’t want him to profit by it and two, we didn’t know what the content of the book was. We were concerned it’s a manual for murder. We’ve learned two things since then. One, he had profited substantially — $680,000 approximately of his actual piece of it — and we have read it and it is not by any stretch a manual on how to commit murder. There’s more violence on TV, more violence on the Internet than exists here.” 

Goldman goes on to say that Simpson implicates himself, in a sense, by describing the attacks — albeit in hypotheticals. “We view it as close to an admission, a confession, as is humanly possible, in his words,” Fred Goldman said.

I guess now that the Goldmans stand to make money from the sale the book, it is no longer despicable or garbage, but what happened to the public outrage over the publication of the book? Goldman’s decision to publish the book has not generated public outrage. Same book! Last year outrage came from all sectors of the media.

The Goldmans say this is the only way to collect the money that OJ owes them for the civil verdict, but really this won’t bring Nicole back and it just makes the Goldmans look greedy.
