For a couple as low-key as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, it was fitting that their daughter’s baptism was a down-home affair.
Little Violet Affleck, who turned 1 on Dec. 1, was baptized on Christmas Eve at Christ Church United Methodist in Charleston, W. Va., where her mother grew up.
Garner’s parents, sister and brother-in-law are members of the church, where Violet’s cousin Alex was baptized the same day, the Associated Press reports

Uma Thurman has broken her wrist.The ‘Kill Bill’ actress fractured her lower arm on the set of her latest movie, ‘The Accidental Husband’, late last week.According to an on-set source, Uma, 36, snapped her wrist when “she was jumping to reach something and fell on her hand”.She initially didn’t realise she had broken it but after going to bed she woke up the next day to find it was considerably swollen.After going to hospital Uma had to undergo surgery to repair the damage.Shooting on the movie, which also stars Colin Firth and Isabella Rossellini, will be delayed for a week while Uma’s broken wrist heals.
She is believed to be currently recovering at her New York home with her two children Maya, eight, and four-year-old Roan.

Rap superstar Lil’ Kim has reportedly agreed to take part in Celebrity Big Brother if she is paid £500,000.
According to The Sun, Lil’ Kim is quite the diva and alongside the half a million pound pay packet, she has demanded a personal assistant in the house with her and, “final approval on all footage of her” which would be more than tricky on a live show.
The hip hop icon, whose real name is Kimberly Denise Jones, loves a bit of luxury and has also demanded all expenses paid holidays in London and across America as part of her fee.
The tabloid newspaper quotes a “show insider” who said of the platinum selling artist: “She may be small but she has a larger-than-life personality.”
Other rumoured celebrities for the series include former Chelsea player, Jason Cundy, and his actress partner, Lizzie.
Last year saw ‘civilian’ Chantelle meet husband Ordinary Boys singer Preston and MP George Galloway pretend to be a cat.
Celebrity Big Brother begins on Channel Four on Wednesday 3rd January and the final line-up will remain a secret until the big night.

Actor and governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has undergone surgery to repair his broken leg.
The Republican politician, aged 59, broke his right femur while skiing in Sun Valley in Idaho on December 23rd. He underwent surgery on Boxing Day when screws and cables were used to fix together broken fragments of bone.
It is possible that the governor will attend his second inauguration ceremony next month on crutches.
Dr. Kevin Ehrhart, the orthopaedic surgeon who performed the procedure said: “He is now fully coherent, and I have cleared him to resume his duties as governor.”
He added that Mr Schwarzenegger would be back, saying: “I expect the governor to fully recover. The governor is not in a cast and will use crutches to walk while his leg heals.”
Star of the Terminator films, Mr Schwarzenegger has had a few bumps and bruises over the years including two motorcycle accidents. In January, a motorcycle accident caused the governor to attend hospital for 15 stitches to his lip and last December, he was under observation for a rapid heartbeat.
The True Lies actor also underwent surgery for a replacement heart valve made of his own tissue in 1997
