Rihanna is singing a new tune.

The Good Girl Gone Bad, 20, has played coy – except for minor PDA in a pool in Jamaica – when it comes to her “friendship” with fellow R&B stunner Chris Brown, 19. But the “Umbrella” singer unsealed her glossy lips in Elle’s June issue.

“We’ve always been friends,” she tells the magazine, “but we’re very close now.”

Although the Barbados-bred beauty, who is currently on tour with Kanye West, doesn’t comment any further on her relationship with Brown, she does put to rest the rumors regarding the other man in her life: mentor and boss Jay-Z.

“I get asked about it all the time and I’m like, ‘You’re asking, but you know the answer,’” she says of the rap mogul, who married Beyoncé in April – to Rihanna’s surprise. “I don’t even like to address it anymore.”

CHRIS BROWN looks to have taken the plunge with RIHANNA.

The Umbrella beauty was spotted on a romantic break in Jamaica with the fellow R’n'B starlet.

Chris held Rihanna aloft while going for a dip in their hotel pool, giving sunbathers a glimpse of her hot bikini body.

While on their Caribbean trip, Rihanna introduced him to her parents.

And he went down well by the sounds of it.

Her dad RONALD FENTY sat next to Chris at a concert thrown in Rihanna’s honour in her native Barbados.

He said: “He’s a very nice guy.

“They were very happy and relaxed and having fun.”

The stunning 19-year-old singer is famous for her raunchy music videos, but says she won’t be tempted to pose nude - regardless of the amount of money she was offered.

She told FHM magazine: “I am only 19! My mother would kill me if I posed nude!”

A source close to the singer added Rihanna’s new boyfriend Josh Hartnett wouldn’t be too happy about his Barbados-born girlfriend stripping off for an adult magazine.

The source said: “Josh really wants to date someone sweet and innocent that he can take home to his parents. If Rihanna decided to pose nude, it would destroy the whole image she is building for herself as a singer and as a girlfriend.”

While Rihanna has vowed never to strip naked for a photoshoot, she is happy to be seen as a “sexy” star.

She said: “Let’s just say I want to do things my way. I can be stubborn. If someone wants to force me to do something, I’ll end up doing the exact opposite.

Josh Hartnett and Rihanna were spotted “kissing and cuddling” in a nightclub before leaving together.

The pair were all over each other as they shared a table and drank Dom Perignon champagne at New York nightspot Pink Elephant on Thursday evening (10.11.07).

A source told US Weekly magazine: “They spent the evening drinking together and there was lots of kissing and cuddling. It was very intimate.

“They didn’t come together but they did leave together!”

Rihanna, 19, headed to the Pink Elephant after performing at the Nokia Theatre in Times Square that evening.
