The Pink-Carey Hart split, TMZ has learned, is a story as old as wage labor: Their careers just plain got in the way.

Sources close to Carey Hart tell TMZ that the motocrosser is telling people that he and his ex still love each other and “will remain best friends.” The downfall of the marriage came as a result of careers getting in the way. Pink has headed back to the studio to work on her music, while Carey is busy opening new nightclubs.

TMZ has also learned that Hart is opening the first of his new brainchildren — a spot called “Wasted Space” — at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas in May. The club will be a live music venue that will feature new rock bands — and music legends.

The ‘Trouble’ singer was overheard telling friends at Hollywood restaurant Eleven things have got so bad she wants time apart from her motocross star husband of 21 months.

A source told US Weeklymagazine: “Pink was out with a table full of friends and telling them that her and Carey just wasn’t working anymore.

“She told them, ‘We’re just not getting along anymore. We each need our space. We need our distance. It’s not like it was when we first started.’ ”

When asked about their marriage last month, Carey said “everything’s fine”.

But a friend of the 32-year-old biker said: “Carey is tired of her always accusing him of cheating, and he’s fed up with the constant arguing. He says he cannot deal with her anymore. It’s his decision to put an end to this. They are 100 per cent getting a divorce.”

A representative for Pink, 28, said rumours the couple are splitting are bullshit.
