GQ celebrated its men of the year at the Royal Opera House in London last night ranging from Mark Ronson to Orlando Bloom, both of whom came with their beautiful dates. Mark Ronson had his younger lady model Daisy Lowe while Orlando and Miranda continued to be one of our favorite hot couples. Elizabeth Hurley may have been of the wrong gender to win an award, but as usual she raised the sexy level in her tight little dress. Mark took home the Alfred Dunhill Maverick Award as a “gentleman of independent or non-conformist views or actions” while Steve Coogan won an award for Acting and Gordon Ramsay for being an entrepreneur.

Orlando Bloom was involved in a car accident early Friday morning in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles.

The 30-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star was not injured, nor was he under the influence, according to LAPD officer April Harding.

“Police interviewed Bloom at the scene and at the hospital, and determined that he did not display signs or symptoms of intoxication. No field sobriety test was issued,” Harding tells PEOPLE.

The accident occurred around 2:15 a.m., TMZ.com was first to report. Bloom was driving a 2003 Toyota Matrix registered to Dariusz Wolski, the director of photography on the Pirates movies, when another vehicle made a sudden lane change, causing him to swerve and hit two parked cars, police said.

“Bloom believed he was being followed by the paparazzi,” Harding said. “He believed the car that cut him off was driven by a photographer.”

Earlier in the night, Bloom had dinner in West Hollywood then headed to Green Door, an intimate lounge in Hollywood where he partied until about 2 a.m.

An onlooker at Green Door tells PEOPLE, “Orlando had a drink in his hand but was pretty mellow, he was only casually drinking. There weren’t any girls in particular he was with for the night, he was just hanging with a group of people.”

Two women in the car with Bloom were injured. A 35-year-old sitting in the back seat suffered a fractured neck. The other passenger, 30, was seated in front and cut by her seat belt.

Bloom went to a local hospital with the women. The incident is considered an accident, and no further investigation is pending, police said.

His rep did not immediately return calls for comment.

Orlando Bloom was warned twice to turn off his phone during a flight to Buenos Aires.The actor received the wrath of British Airways’ air stewardesses after he refused to stop chatting on his mobile phone.

A source revealed: “He had to be told on two occasions by cabin crew to turn off his mobile phone as the aircraft prepared for take-off.”
