The actress gave birth to a healthy baby boy at a Los Angeles hospital yesterday (07.26.07).
Mother and baby, who weighed 8lbs 4oz, are both said to be doing well.
The couple have named the new arrival Alexander “Kong” Pete Schreiber. The tot was almost two weeks early and friends say Naomi was determined to have a natural labour.
One pal said: “Naomi was planning on giving birth next week - her due date was early August - but since she insisted on delivering naturally, she knew there was a chance she would have the baby before the due date. That’s what wound up happening.

According to In Touch magazine, the “21 Grams”‘ actress is having her first child with actor boyfriend Liev Schrieber, who she has been dating for two years.
A friend of Naomi’s said: “This wasn’t planned but they are thrilled. They will probably marry before the baby is born.”
“She will make such a great mother.”
So far, the couple have not confirmed the reports, although Naomi has made no secret of her desire to have children.
She recently said: “I wish it could have happened a little bit sooner. I have wanted a family since I was 19 - certainly to have children.”
