Nick Cannon knows how to show his devotion – Mariah Carey’s 17-carat engagement ring is proof of that.

But his love was on full display again Tuesday night, when Cannon rented out Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, Ca., and threw a surprise bash for his new bride and 100 of their friends. (Price tag for the five-hour rental runs in the six figures.)

“This is wonderful,” Carey told the staff as she entered the theme park. “The best surprise ever!”

Their first order of business? Taking a spin on the Tatsu, one of the park’s famous roller coasters. After posing for photographs, Carey downed her glass of Chardonnay before they both jumped on the ride.

Five inversions, 62 miles per hour, and 3.5 minutes later, the happy couple and about 12 friends returned to solid ground. “When they got off the ride, Mariah wanted gum so Nick unwrapped a piece and fed it to her,” said a guest. “He is head over heels.”

Mariah Carey has confirmed she is married.

The ‘Touch My Body’ singer admits she has never been happier since tying the knot with rapper Nick Cannon on April 30.

Mariah, who met Nick while shooting the video for her new single ‘Bye Bye’ six weeks ago - told People magazine: “We really do feel we are soulmates. I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me!”

The US magazine has exclusive photos of Mariah, 38, and Nick, 27, marrying at sunset on her Bahamas estate.

The pop superstar wore a traditional white gown and veil, while Nick complemented her outfit in a smart white suit and tie.

He praised his new wife, saying: “She is beautiful on the outside and 10 times as beautiful on the inside.”

Reports are circulating that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are married after impulsively tying the knot during a small ceremony on an island, according to Latina magazine.

Only a few close pals, including Da Brat, attended the nuptials, the publication says. The New York Post also reports that the couple got secretly married. However, there has been no official confirmation of the wedding. Reps for both Cannon and Carey were not available for comment.

Meanwhile,Access Hollywood, has reported that the two are engaged – but some blogs are buzzing about whether the alleged marriage is merely to hype Carey’s new video, which stars Cannon.

Still, there is evidence at least the engagement may be real. Earlier this week, Carey, 39, was seen sporting a large ring as she and Cannon, 27, held hands at the bash at Cadillac Lounge at Tenjune after the premiere of her movie Tennessee at New York’s Tribeca Film Festival.

The ring, jeweler Jacob & Co. confirmed to PEOPLE, is crafted from platinum and features a square, emerald-cut fancy light pink diamond in the center, surrounded by 58 intense pink diamonds, flanked by two half-moon diamonds. The total carat weight of the ring – the center stone alone is 10 carats – is a jaw-dropping 17 carats, with a value of $2.5 million.

Asked last weekend what he loved about Carey, Cannon told PEOPLE: “Everything.”
