The ‘I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry’ star - who has been dating ‘SexyBack’ singer Justin since last January - reportedly attempted to make him a romantic meal, but Justin couldn’t stomach her food.

A source said: “Jessica made Justin this really disgusting meal. He didn’t like it, so when she went out to run some errands he tried to slip the remaining food to Jessica’s Pit Bull Terrier Tina. But as soon as Tina had eaten it, she threw up!

“When Jessica got back, she asked Justin what he thought of the food and he told her it was delicious. But he finally confessed and she found the congealed food in a pile by Tina’s water bowl.”

It was recently reported Justin is planning to propose to Jessica, and his grandmother Sadie is already planning the ceremony, insisting the pair should marry Jessica in Justin’s mother Lynne’s backyard.

All the star power in the world couldn’t keep the Lakers from blowing a 24-point lead in their devastating loss to the Boston Celtics Thursday night at L.A.’s Staples Center.

“Good for Boston,” Will Smith graciously conceded to PEOPLE after the Celtics’ 97-91 win. He was followed to the exits by a grim-faced Jack Nicholson, a dejected Penny Marshall and disconsolate Justin Timberlake.

But the crowd – which included L.A. supporters Denzel Washington, Tobey McGuire, David Beckham, Nicky Hilton, Ryan Seacrest, Randy Jackson, Dustin Hoffman and Fergie – did contain a few Boston fans.

Boston boy Ben Affleck was in the house with wife Jennifer Garner. Fellow Bean Towner Donnie Wahlberg, who is touring with New Kids on the Block later this summer, also cheered on Paul Pierce and Co.

“It’s a good year for comebacks,” he told PEOPLE. “For the Celtics and the New Kids on the Block.”

Michelle Kwan was there to cheer on the Lakers – and to admire the players’ fit physiques. “They’re all good-looking,” said the L.A. native. “They have nice bodies …. And then you see that passion for the game.”

But her beloved Lakers are in a tight spot now, down 3-1 in the NBA championship series. (The Celtics need just one more win to clinch the title.)

“I think we’ll win it all in game six in Boston next week, and then we’ll celebrate the night,” Wahlberg predicted.

But would his brother Mark (who’s been – gasp! – rooting for the Lakers lately) join in the fun? “Right now, I think his blood is turning purple and gold a little but,” Donnie admitted, referring to the Lakers team colors. “We’re gonna have to fix that!”

Janet Jackson’s music mogul boyfriend has lashed out at Justin Timberlake in his new book, calling the pop superstar “ordinary looking” and a “skinny white kid”.

Producer Jermaine Dupri takes issue with Timberlake’s success in The Making Of A Mogul: Young, Rich and Dangerous, because he thinks the SexyBack star could be much bigger if he worked on his image.

He says, “I’m giving people my perspective as a music person, who creates artists from scratch.

“I have a new artist that’s coming out and he told me that he wanted to wear suits as his image… To me, that’s not gonna do anything, that’s not gonna set you aside from anything.

“I don’t believe that the image that he (Timberlake) gives me even makes me believe that he’s as big star as he could be… I believe that his music is incredible but he doesn’t have anything else to go along with the music”.

Dupri is upset that some media types are suggesting his attack on Timberlake is little more than payback after the Cry Me A River star publicly criticised his girlfriend after unwittingly finding himself in the middle of the controversy following her Breast-Baring ‘Wardrobe Malfunction’ during their 2004 SuperBowl duet.

This guy is full of shit! I mean he’s not even in the same universe as Justin Timberlake as far as anything goes, including style. How much bigger can Justin Timberlake be anyway.

Justin Timberlake has postponed shows in Sacramento and San Jose, California as he fights to beat a sinus infection.

The pop superstar pulled the plug on Monday’s Sacramento show and Wednesday’s (12Sep07) San Jose concert after revealing he was feeling sick at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday.

Backstage, after claiming two of the night’s big awards, he said: “I just don’t fell well right now. I have this sinus thing going on.”

A spokesman for the singer says: “The shows have been rescheduled following a doctor mandated several day vocal rest prescribed to the artist to repair vocal strain inflicted during his MTV VMA performance and months of rigorous touring.”

Both postponed shows will now take place later this month.

After four months of playing the field since his breakup with Cameron Diaz, is Justin Timberlake ready to “go steady” with Jessica Biel?

The two, who were first linked at a Golden Globe afterparty in January, recently spent several days together in the U.K., where Timberlake was touring. (They holed up in Manchester’s five-star Lowry Hotel and took in a soccer match.)

And now “Justin’s in love,” a source close to the singer tells PEOPLE in its new issue. “She’s the coolest chick ever. He wants to be with her all the time. He’s ready to be serious.”

Over the last few months, Timberlake, 26, and Biel, 25, have also been spotted snowboarding with pals at the Sundance Film Festival, and Biel recently attended a barbeque at Timberlake’s L.A. home.

Reps for both had no comment.

Justin Timberlake took his mother as his date to the premiere of his new
film on Wednesday night (01.03.07).

The ‘SexyBack’ singer - who has allegedly split from girlfriend Cameron
Diaz - was accompanied by his mom, Lynn Harless, to the Hollywood premiere
of ‘Alpha Dog’, in which he stars with Bruce Willis and Sharon Stone.

Justin, 25, and his 45-year-old mother also attended the after-party
together at Ivar Studios where they hung out with members of the ‘Alpha Dog’
cast until 11pm.

They then moved on to the Social Hollywood club where they met up with
Scarlett Johansson - who recently filmed a video for one of Justin’s songs
and who he is rumoured to be romantically pursuing.
