Jennifer Aniston and  John Mayer were spotted out on a date last night at the Sunset Tower Hotel for a late-night meal.

According to an eyewitness, “They were positively glowing in the candlelight.  You could see her classic ‘Aniston smile’ on her face.  They were very happy and goofy.  They seemed to revel in their privacy.”

John and Jen also bumped into anther celebrity couple,Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, at the dinner.  “There was a lot of excited talk between the two girls, with Nicole’s head bobbing up and down as she talked to Jen.”

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer shared a romantic dinner this weekend.

“They looked like they were having a fantastic time,” says one observer of the Saturday night dinner. A source close to John adds, “They were hanging out this weekend.”

Aniston, 39, in New York on business, dined with Mayer, 30, on oysters, ravioli with mushrooms and black truffles and fish.

The night before, Aniston and Mayer joined four others for a dinner at Mantra restaurant in Boston.

“They were friendly but regular,” says a restaurant staffer. “We wouldn’t have noticed them if someone hadn’t called ahead. … They just came in with their group and sat in the hookah bar and drank and ate.”

The actress returned to Los Angeles on Monday.

Even though his summer romance with Aniston is now a thing of the past, Mayer, according to a friend, is “someone who is known for staying connected to people he cares about and for staying friends with people he’s been linked to.”

Jennifer Aniston is desperate to rekindle her relationship with ex-boyfriend John Mayer.
The former ‘Friends’ actress - who split from the ‘Gravity’ singer last month - is reportedly phoning John every day in a bid to show him what he is missing.

A source said: “Jennifer reached out to John first. She had a few glasses of wine - then decided to throw caution to the wind and make the first move.
“John was pleasantly surprised to hear from her. He says they’ve been in contact pretty much every day since and he’s really looking forward to seeing her again soon.”

However, it is claimed John is more concerned about the change in Jennifer’s lifestyle - after she has been regularly photographed out drinking with friends - than getting back together with the brunette beauty.
The source added to the MailOnline website: “Jennifer’s friends are worried. She’s had a really tough time since the break-up and the more time goes on, she realises how much John still means to her. Basically, she’s still in love with him and has had a really tough time letting go.”

Jennifer - who is divorced from Brad Pitt - is also reportedly finding it difficult to change the way she approaches relationships.
The source continued: “Jen just needs to be careful about not being so needy and vulnerable when it comes to men. Unfortunately, partying tends to bring that side out of her and she’s a lot more appealing to John when she parties less.”

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer have called it quits, multiple sources confirm to PEOPLE.

“They had a great time together but they are just in different places in their lives right now,” says a source of Aniston, 39, and Mayer, 30, who kicked off their courtship in April.

A friend of Mayer adds that a reconciliation isn’t necessarily out of the question: “He never ends things with a clean slate. He likes to dwell on these relationships and sort everything out before saying goodbye for good.”

The split was first reported Wednesday by the U.K.’s Mirror, which said the couple split earlier this week, after initially deciding to spend some time apart.

Reps for Aniston and Mayer have declined to comment.

It’s official: Jennifer Aniston is a John Mayer groupie. After trekking with him to shows in Michigan, Wisconsin and St. Louis this month alone, she put in another low-key appearance Sunday night in Irvine, Calif.

Early in the two-hour show – while Aniston looked on – Mayer prefaced a cover of Tom Petty’s “Free Fallin’ ” with a bit of detail about his plans for the evening.

“Just like me, this song gets to sleep in its own bed tonight,” he said, apparently happy to be home after a whirlwind tour of the Midwest.

But Mayer seemed to make a point of any overt references his romance with Aniston, saying more than once that the night would be about “more music” and “less talk.”

Rocker John Mayer is getting his own back on the press by spreading false rumours about himself.

The singer - who is dating Friends star Jennifer Aniston - is so sick of reading untrue reports that he has decided to make up his own.

Mayer filled gaps between songs at a gig in St. Louis, Missouri on Thursday night (03Jul08) by telling the audience made-up facts about his life.

After telling fans he is scared of all things green, that he wrote the Kenny Loggins hit Danger Zone, and was building a time machine, Mayer announced, “When I was a child I would kill small animals and wear their teeth as necklaces. True. Print that. And I’ve always felt deep down that I was born a woman”.

Jennifer Aniston met up with BFF Courteney Cox for a humanitarian event at L.A.’s STK restaurant Thursday night – and both brought along the men in their lives.

John Mayer arrived just before 9 p.m., kissing Cox hello and settling next to Aniston (who wore a sleeveless black shirt, grey pants and sky-high strappy sandals). She quickly slipped her arm around him and, a few minutes later, she playfully tousled the singer’s hair.

David Arquette joined them later – after catching the end of the Lakers-Celtics game at the front bar – and the group sat chatting over glasses wine. It was a cozy anniversary celebration for Cox and Arquette, who were married June 12, 1999.

After the STK dinner and event, which was hosted by OmniPeace founder Mary Fanaro and sponsored by Kitson, the group headed next door to Coco de Ville for the OmniPeace event honoring Dr. Jeffrey Sachs, co-founder of the anti-poverty organization Millennium Promise.

John Mayer has cooled rumors he is dating Mandy Moore by romancing Cameron Diaz over dinner.

The couple were spotted enjoying an intimate dinner at New York eaterie Indochine and, according to spies, were “very playful and cozy.”

A source tells New York gossip column Page Six the couple “met years ago at a concert (but) their relationship just started”.

Sexy Jessica Simpson and John Mayer have ended their romance – but perhaps not for good, a source close to Simpson tells PEOPLE magazine.

“They have broken up,” says the source. “But they have broken up and gotten back together at least 10 times before.”

According to the source, the pair are in constant contact – even as Simpson promotes her film Major Movie Star at the Cannes Film Festival in France. “They talk to each other at least six times a day. I don’t know if this breakup is permanent, but for right now they are broken up.”
