Jessica Simpson is said to be unhappy her sibling’s fame is beginning to eclipse her own.

A source told Closer magazine: “Jessica finds it tough being compared with Ashlee, who’s becoming a big star and is threatening to overtake Jessica as the more successful sister.

“Jessica was always seen as the bigger star, but now Ashlee is taking over. There’s certainly a sibling rivalry between them.”

Since she started dating Pete Wentz, Ashlee, 22, has become a regular on the Los Angeles party scene and can rarely step out without being followed by a throng of paparazzi.

Jessica Simpson was at an exclusive party on a private yacht after the Vanity Fair party at the Hotel Du Cap Saturday night, but she wasn’t fitting in with fellow guests.

The part-time girlfriend of John Mayer “spent the whole night following Leonardo DiCaprio around like a lost puppy,” said our source. “He just seemed freaked out and kind of ignored her.” Simpson’s rep could not be reached.

Getting dumped by John Mayer and then trying to hook up with Leonardo DiCaprio is like getting fired from a gas station and then deciding to apply at a prestige law firm. Never going to happen.

Jessica Simpson, 26, and John Mayer, 29, reportedly met up this morning as he was spotted leaving her hotel (The Soho Grand) at 12PM today. 

A pal of Jessica’s confirms to In Touch, “They definitely went on a date last night. She still loves him, but he’s not stable. He’s scared of commitment. He breaks up with her and then regrets it and then begs her to get back together.”

Yea I doubt that, I think this was just a booty call!

Sexy Jessica Simpson and John Mayer have ended their romance – but perhaps not for good, a source close to Simpson tells PEOPLE magazine.

“They have broken up,” says the source. “But they have broken up and gotten back together at least 10 times before.”

According to the source, the pair are in constant contact – even as Simpson promotes her film Major Movie Star at the Cannes Film Festival in France. “They talk to each other at least six times a day. I don’t know if this breakup is permanent, but for right now they are broken up.”

Not really a shock, he’s obviously way to smart for her!  Well on the plus side, Jessica Simpson launched her official Lingerie line!

According to Vestiny Apparel, Inc., the pop singer and U.S. reality TV star Jessica Simpson is working on an intimate apparel line set to come out this autumn. From the above link:

Launching this Fall 2007, the line consists of lingerie, night/loungewear and day styles. Initially launching in major department and specialty stores nationwide this Fall, the line looks to expand worldwide by Fall of 2008. “The collection is fun, flirty and exactly what I would want to wear,” says Jessica Simpson.

After doing more research, I did find out that Simpson was inspired to create this line after being frustrated with bra shopping herself because of the small selection available for larger cup sizes.

I know that it will come as a shock to many of you out there, but it is true and Jessica made the statement herself that she loves her large breasts.

“They are like a good necklace,” the voluptuous star told Hot Stars magazine.Even though Simpson loves her breasts, she doesn’t care much that they’ve become smaller, for too many men used to stare at them due to their unusual size.“And I don’t mind that my boobs have shrunk a bit. Too many men used to wind up staring at them anyway,” The Sun quoted her, as saying.

The actress-and-singer gave the vehicle, which can seat eight people, to the Casa Hogar Elim orphanage in Nuevo Laredo, which she visited in 1999.

The 26-year-old star won a sports car at a swag suite at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards but she asked to swap it for a minivan so she could help the orphanage.

A Chrysler spokesperson confirmed: “Instead of the Chrysler Crossfire, she decided to get a minivan for the orphanage instead. She went for the Chrysler Town and Country.”

Mama Lupita - who runs the orphanage - reportedly burst into tears when she heard about the gift, and admitted she’d “love to hug Jessica.” The van will be delivered to the orphanage next month.

Jessica is also auctioning off the red dress she wears in her new Pizza Hut advert on eBay. All proceeds from the sale will go to Casa Hogar Elim. The source added: “The orphanage means so much to her. She wants to help Mama Lupita and everyone there.”
