Rihanna was rushed to the Hirslanden hospital around midnight for an “unknown condition”, but was on her way back to the venue by 3 am.

Reps for the hospital have confirmed that Rihanna was at their emergency room Monday night but “do not know the details.”

Sounds like it wasn’t anything too serious if she was out in 3 hours!

Although her good pal Katy Perry couldn’t make it Saturday – “Love you girl, wish I could be there,” she Tweeted – Rihanna flew out a bunch of her pals for the bash, highlighted by the singer getting a dance from a stripper.

“It was a female little person,” says a source of the strip tease. “She thought it was funny!”

Rihanna, who wore a beige mini-dress, was serenaded with “Happy Birthday” as Kemp, 25, brought out a cake decorated with the singer’s tattoos, reports E! News. The guests also sipped champagne and noshed on Sprinkles cupcakes and appetizers prepared by a Jamaican chef. Tiki torches added to the décor.

Rihanna’s lawyer has confirmed she will testify against her boyfriend, singer Chris Brown, if she is subpoenaed to appear in court.

The R&B singer, who is currently fighting two felony charges of assaulting the pop princess, is currently free on $50,000 (£35,700) bail after he was granted a continuance at his arraignment hearing on 5^th March 2009.

Brown is due back in court on April 6^th 2009 where his girlfriend may be called to testify against him by prosecutors, adamant to put the famous singer up to the full extent of the law.

Brown allegedly beat up Rihanna in a late-night row on the 8^th February 2009 which left her face battered and bruised.

The attack allegedly occurred after the 21-year-old singer discovered a three-page text message from his former lover on his mobile phone.

Brown tried to push Rihanna out of the car but failed to do so as she was wearing a seatbelt. He then allegedly punched her and threatened, “I’m going to beat the s*** out of you when we get home. You wait and see!’

It was reported that Rihanna attempted to call her assistant but received her answerphone, were she pretended to tell her to call the police.

The testimony of Detective De Shon Andrews, from Los Angeles Police Department, detail that Brown threw a ‘barrage of punches’ at Rihanna’s face, bit her ear and pressed her neck until she almost passed out.

The attack was reported to have caused Rihanna’s mouth to fill with blood, which splattered all over her clothing. The papers suggest that injured Rihanna managed to free herself by kicking Brown away and gouging his eyes. A passerby called the police after they heard Rihanna’s screams and cries for help.

Recent reports have suggested Rihanna has reconciled with the singer and was in Los Angeles with him. Her lawyer Donald Etra told MTV news, “”She is planning to do everything that the law requires her to do. If she is required to testify, she will do so.” Etra was overheard telling Brown in court on Thursday 5th March that Rihanna ‘would like this to be over as quickly as possible.’

He further went on to tell Us Weekly magazine, “Rhianna desires that it (the case) be quick and expeditious. She wants to get back to her life and her career.”

Brown could face up to four years and eight months in jail if convicted.

Family thought that the relationship was over after Brown allegedly battered Rihanna on Feb. 8. The couple went their own ways for awhile — he went home, while she recuperated in Barbados and Mexico — but the separation was short-lived.

The pair reunited in Miami last weekend, spending time at the Star Island mansion of Sean “Diddy” Combs. A source close to the couple told PEOPLE that the couple was “definitely together” and working on a reconciliation.

“I’m concerned,” continues the relative. “I don’t want her to make a mistake, and I don’t want her to ever go through his again.”

But the entire trip wasn’t devoted to the relationship. While in Miami, Brown did some recording at a studio designed by Lenny Kravitz located in the Setai hotel. “He was here to record,” a source told PEOPLE. He also spent some time Jet skiing at the beach.

The couple left Miami early Monday morning on the same plane, arriving in Southern California DUI.

Los Angeles police investigators have identified Rihanna as the victim in Sunday’s attack. Brown has been arrested and charged with making criminal threats and Rihanna is cooperating with detectives, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Authorities have said Brown, 19, could face additional charges. He is currently free on bail.

E! Online reported a 21st birthday celebration planned for the Barbados-born singer in New York also was canceled.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Singer Chris Brown was arrested and charged with making criminal threats on Sunday for an early morning attack on an unidentified woman widely thought to be his girlfriend, pop star Rihanna.

Los Angeles police would not confirm the name of the victim, but both Brown and Rihanna missed their performances at Sunday’s Grammy Awards, and several media outlets speculated that Rihanna was the unidentified woman.

Brown, 19, was scheduled to perform his love song “Forever” at the music awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday evening, and Rihanna was set to sing her hit single “Disturbia.”

Neither Rihanna, who was nominated in three categories, nor Brown, who was nominated twice, walked the red carpet, and they were not in attendance for the awards ceremony. Their representatives could not be reached for comment.

As the show was getting underway, Brown turned himself in for questioning by police. Later, he was booked on a charge of making criminal threats and released on 50,000 bail, according to a Los Angeles Police Department statement.

Brown was being investigated for alleged domestic violence felony battery, and additional charges could be filed after officials review the case, the LAPD said in its statement.

Rihanna canceled her performance shortly before the Grammys started, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences said.

“We have just been informed that Rihanna will not be attending tonight’s 51st Annual Grammy Awards. We’re sorry she is unable to join us,” the academy said. There was no further explanation for her absence.

Soul legend Al Green performed alongside pop star Justin Timberlake in Rihanna’s place.

Grammy officials made no mention of Brown’s performance but he did not appear on stage as scheduled.

Police said Brown got into an argument with an unidentified woman while sitting in a parked car in the city’s Hancock Park neighborhood at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday.

“After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated,” the police said. “The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker.”

Police received a 911 call reporting the disturbance and according to the statement, when officers arrived they found the victim, but Brown had already left the scene.

Brown, who broke onto the Billboard charts at the age of 16 with his hit single “Run It” and sold 2 million copies of his self-titled debut album, also scored a pair of hits on his sophomore effort, “Exclusive,” in 2007.

Barbados-born Rihanna also released her debut album in 2005 and had a number one hit single with “SOS” less than a year later. She followed with three more number ones: “Umbrella,” “Take a Bow” and “Disturbia.”

She won a 2007 Grammy Award for her single “Umbrella,” a collaboration with the rapper Jay-Z.
