The singer-and-actress – who got engaged to NFL player Eric Johnson on Thursday (11.11.10), six months after they started dating – has reportedly angered her father-and-manager Joe by her refusal to draw up an agreement detailing how the couple’s assets would be divided if they separated.

A source said: “At the moment, Joe is sitting back and being a great father supporting his daughter and his future son-in-law.

“However, you can bet after all the excitement has died down, Joe is going to do everything in his power to make sure Jessica doesn’t walk down the aisle until Eric signs away any right he might have to Jessica’s enormous fortune.”

Friends of the 30-year-old star – who has an estimated wealth of around $100 million – are said to be particularly concerned about her decision not to make Eric sign a prenuptial agreement because she also refused to make a similar agreement when she married Nick Lachey.

When their divorce was finalised in June 2006, Nick walked away with a substantial amount of her finances.

The insider told website PopEater: “Nick walked away with over $10 million of her money when they divorced, because they had no prenup. You would think she would have learned her lesson. But where romance is concerned, Jess’ follows her heart not her head.”

Joe recently took to twitter to congratulate her on her engagement.

He posted: “So very happy for Jess and Eric. May they have a lifetime of joy and happiness.”

Now, it’s Simpson’s turn to fire away – and she’s doing it on The Oprah Winfrey Show. In an interview with Winfrey set to air Wednesday, Simpson sums up her reaction to what Mayer had to say with, one word: Disappointment.

“There’s nothing worse than being disappointed in somebody,” she says. Asked if she’s angry, she responds, “I’m not angry. I’m – well, I’m a little bit angry.”

What exactly is she angry about? “I don’t want people to know how I am in bed,” Simpson says. “I mean, I guess I could have been a lot worse.”

The pop star quips about the fallout from Mayer’s comments: “My phone is ringing off the hook, I have to say.”

On another sensitive topic – her weight – Simpson, 29, tells Winfrey she’s comfortable with her current shape. “I love my curves,” she says. “I’m not going to ever be size 0, and I don’t want to weigh 90 pounds.”

Simpson tweeted, “I am blessed,” in response to a tweet and twit pic from music producer Kerry Brown that read, “Going over a song [with] @billy and the boxer @JessicaSimpson.”

Jessica Simpson’s mood depends on her underwear.

The 29-year-old singer “strongly believes” her bra and knickers “set the tone” for her whole day.

The blonde beauty – who recently designed her own range of underwear – said: “Of course I love lingerie. What girl doesn’t? My lingerie reflects the way I’m feeling when I wake up and helps me set the tone for my day. I wear whatever my mood calls for.

“Lingerie is a special part of what you wear every day. It’s fun to pick different colours and styles. What you wear underneath your clothes helps define the outfit, whether T-shirt bras, push-up bras, different patterns and colours – you always have to choose what works best.”

As soon as her underwear ranges hits stores, Jessica has vowed to “live” in it.

She added to Women’s Wear Daily website: “It is important to me personally to be able to wear my own line. It’s a great collection of feminine, sexy, regular and full-figured bras which are going to be amazing.

“We are also working on a sleepwear collection that I know I will live in. We have focused on using really soft fabrics that feel good against your skin. The whole line centres around great basics for every day that are comfortable and fit your body.

“We spent a lot of time on the details. I really wanted to make this line special!”
