‘Desparate Housewives’ star Eva Longoria has ruled out rumours soccer stud David Beckham and Robbie Williams are to go gay for an episode of her hit show - after checking out reports with Posh Spice.

The newlywed actress admits even she was taken in by the reports, and felt she had to ask Beckham’s wife Victoria if they were true when the Spice Girls star showed up on set to film an upcoming episode.

Longoria says: “I talked to Victoria the other day. I told her about that rumour and she was laughing. David had a good laugh out of it. They (Beckham and Williams) are not coming on the show.”

Time to mend it like Beckham.

David Beckham, the British soccer import who seems to have spent more time on the trainer’s table than the field, will now be out for about six weeks with a sprained ligament in his knee, the Los Angeles Galaxy announced Thursday.

The midfielder, who previously nursed an injured ankle that cost him playing time, got the bad news after he underwent an MRI exam and was evaluated by the Galaxy’s team physician. Beckham now begins rehab on the knee.

During the 30th minute of play in the Galaxy vs. CF Pachuca Superliga final at the Home Depot Center on Wednesday evening, Beckham suffered a fierce tackle on the left corner of the field. He went down hard and stayed down.

All in the stadium were on their feet as Beckham, 32, signaled to the bench for assistance. He limped to the sideline as a substitute stepped onto the field to fill in.

With the score tied 1-1, Beckham hobbled back onto the grass in the second half of overtime play. “I had to get back out there to cheer on the lads as much as I could,” he said after the game.

The Galaxy later lost in a penalty-kick shoot-out.

David Beckham is playing soccer again.  Here he is after his last game.

The soccer superstar has been seen scoffing burgers and guzzling down calorie-laden coffees since arriving in the US to start his contract with Los Angeles Galaxy.

David, who is currently sidelined with an ankle injury, admits his new manager Frank Yallop has been less than impressed with his dietary habits.

The former England captain said: “Unfortunately the photographers get me eating at certain places where I shouldn’t really be eating because I’m a sportsman. They have pictured me going out to get hamburgers and have taken photos of me getting coffees.”

David has also revealed the paparazzi interest in him and wife Victoria is now calming down.

Yea it’s because they are boring. Beckham is supposed to be the Michael Jordan of Soccer and he’s got an ankle injury.  Unless this guy can dazzle on the soccer field or if Victoria gets into a cat fight with Katie Holmes, theres not much going on here.

Forget Les Deux and Teddy’s: Hollywood’s hottest celeb hangout Saturday night was the Home Depot Center in nearby Carson, Calif., as Katie Holmes, Eva Longoria, Mary-Kate Olsen and others showed up to watch David Beckham’s American soccer debut with the Los Angeles Galaxy.

And despite fears that an ankle injury would sideline him for his first game, Beckham did indeed play – about 13 minutes in the second half of the exhibition match against Chelsea. (Chelsea won, 1-0.)

David Beckham could cheat on wife Victoria while they are living in the US, his former personal assistant has claimed.

Rebecca Loos, who claims she had an affair with David while working for him in Spain in 2004, says the soccer superstar may find it difficult to resist the Californian beauties.

She told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “There are plenty of gorgeous girls in Los Angeles - I don’t know whether he’s going to be a good boy.”

Rebecca, 30, also believes David and Victoria - who arrived in the US with their three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz yesterday (12.07.07) - should be grateful about her and David’s alleged fling, because it made their marriage stronger.

She said: “In a way they should be glad it happened - it’s made them stronger. They even went on to have another child. Everything happens for a reason, even bad things.

David and Victoria Beckham have posed for their raunchiest ever photoshoot as they bid to break America.

The couple adorn the cover of fashion bible W magazine, with Posh Spice in a skimpy mesh swimsuit and her footballer husband showing off his heavily tattooed torso.

But it is the nine-page photo spread inside that will really raise eyebrows. One shows David reclining on a bed naked but for a pair of tight white briefs.

Another features Victoria in provocative pose, staring moodily into the camera and stripped down to her underwear.

Others see the couple kissing and David helping Victoria into, or out of, her suspenders.

The pictures in the August issue of W were shot in Spain by top photographer Steven Klein.

The magazine says the pair are “determined to become the new American idols”.

But Victoria is determined to join the Hollywood A-list and already counts Tom Cruise and wife Katie Holmes as close friends.

David Beckham has become an art collector.

The soccer superstar and Tom Cruises new BFF has developed a love for expensive art, and is now receiving advice on how to extend his collection from top-selling artist Sacha Jafri.

Sacha said: “He’s really getting into the art world. He’s taking it really seriously and he hopes to amass a valuable private collection.”

David, 32, became friends with 30-year-old Oxford University graduate Sacha after asking him to produce a painting for a charity auction in aid of his football academy.

The artist - whose work sells for up to £100,000 a piece and is appreciated by many wealthy collectors, including Microsoft tycoon Bill Gates - is now advising David on what creations to spend his cash on.

Maybe he can sell some of his David Beckham naked photo art.

Victoria and David Beckham have reportedly found an LA home - the couple are said to have their heart set on buying Meg Ryan’s $20 million Bel Air estate. “Mrs. Beckham was very impressed with the property overall, especially the ocean views which can be enjoyed from the bedroom,” said the realtor who showed Posh around the home. “She was also impressed by the close proximity to the local amenities and schools… And the garden has lots of space for the children to run around in.” The seven-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion has a games room, private gym, sauna and pool. Posh and Becks have allegedly made an offer worth just over the $20 million asking price.
