Charlize Theron is known for rescuing stray dogs but the actress may want to consider investing in a guard dog. Burglars broke into Charlize’s Hollywood Hills home over the weekend while the Monster star was out of town, Los Angeles cops said Sunday.

The crooks burglarized the residence (which the actress shares with her boyfriend, actor Stuart Townsend) sometime between Thursday and Saturday. Detectives do not yet have a complete list of what was stolen. “No suspects were seen, and we don’t have a list [of] property taken yet,” said LAPD officer Sara Faden.

Looks like the worlds sexiest woman needs to rescue a watch dog to guard her home.

Hayden also said she is “rooting for” troubled singer Britney Spears, because she was her “idol” when she was growing up.

She told America’s GQ magazine: “That girl was the epitome of beauty when I was younger. And we built her up and just ripped her down, put every aspect of her life under a microscope - we probably made 90 per cent of the stuff up along the way.

“I can’t even imagine if my life was like hers. She’s someone that I’m rooting for, and I hope she can make that comeback, definitely.”

Charlize Theron has an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild award. Now she’s Esquire magazine’s “sexiest woman alive.”

Past winners of the title include Jessica Biel, Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson. The issue featuring Theron hits newsstands Oct. 16.

Theron talked with the magazine about growing up on a farm, her political interests and her work, including her latest movie, “In the Valley of Elah,” a murder mystery set among U.S. troops newly returned from Iraq.

“I wanted to make the movie precisely because it evades formulas about guilt,” the 32-year-old actress said. “I’m drawn to ambiguity.”

Theron also candidly discussed her least favorite film, “Reindeer Games.”

“That was a bad, bad, bad movie,” she said. “But … I got to work with John Frankenheimer. I wasn’t lying to myself — that’s why I did it.”

Theron won an Oscar for her role in “Monster.” Her screen credits also include “North Country” and “The Cider House Rules.”

Charlize Theron has sparked rumours she is to wed after she was spotted wearing an engagement ring in Los Angeles.

The actress was seen sporting the diamond two days after returning from a break in Belize with long-term actor partner Stuart Townsend.

Although Theron has previously insisted “marriage is not my thing”, friends tells Britain’s Hello! Magazine she has had a change of heart.

The couple are currently working on Townsend’s directorial debut ‘Battle in Seattle’ which will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, later this year.

Hollywood royalty Charlize Theron was spotted “catwalking” in front of a restaurant for almost five minutes as bystanders looked on in confusion.

GLITZY Oscar winner Charlize Theron didn’t need a red carpet to show off her modelicious moves Monday night. Spies outside downtown eatery La Esquina saw the star “putting on a show . . . catwalking in front of the restaurant.” One bystander asked, “What’s wrong with her?” Another told Page Six, “She was doing that walk for almost five minutes.”

I guess when your that hot you can do whatever you want!

Charlize Theron has been tipped to play Anna Nicole Smith in a film about her life.The actress is movie bosses’ first choice to star as the Playboy Playmate who married an 89-year-old oil billionaire and died aged just 39 last week.

A source revealed: “You couldn’t make up a life story like Anna’s. Studios are falling over themselves to pay tribute to an incredible woman. There are a number of actresses earmarked to play Anna, with Charlize the favourite.”

This won’t be the first time the 31-year-old South African has played a controversial real-life character.
