The 45-year-old star, who picked up the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in ‘The Blind Side’, wants to be reminded she is a movie star when doing mundane daily chores and has asked her husband, biker Jesse James, to attach the statue to her vehicle.
She said: “I’m going to have Jesse weld the Oscar to the hood of the car.
“It will be there to remind me as I do the school and grocery runs. I’m taking my award food shopping. More people will see it.”
Sandra also admitted she has not yet come to terms with winning the award and being in the company of other Oscar-winning actresses such as Dame Helen Mirren and Meryl Streep – but is glad the ceremony is over so she can go back to leading a normal life.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: “It’s really hard for it so sink in. Now I can go days without wearing make-up, eating cheese burgers, get back to my life walking the dogs and doing the things everybody else does.
“There’s a sense of relief. Now I can look back and think, ‘Wow, this is a little piece of history.’ I’m glad I got to share this time and exhilaration with extraordinarily beautiful and talented women.”
Meanwhile, Jesse, 40, has proclaimed how proud he is of Sandra, claiming he loses his breath when he looks at her.
He told People magazine: “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to support my wife and her work. She does it all the time for me. She goes to Mexico, to the desert, to the hospital – a lot – to support me and my work. The least I can do is put on a suit and support her.
“She’s beautiful. She’s amazing. She takes my breath away. Sometimes I look at her and I do, I just lose my breath.
“I’m so proud of her. Nobody deserves this more and works harder. She’s old-school Hollywood – just gracious and a star who’s so much better than you expect them to be.”

In a letter to the editor of The Tennessean, Judd, calls Swift a “dazzling performer” and lauds her for single-handedly introducing “country music to a much-welcomed younger demographic.”

She attributes Swift’s less-than-perfect Grammy duet with Stevie Nicks to having an off night. “Having sung many times at the Grammys, I can tell you that the stress and anxiety of performing in front of the world’s top artists in every genre of music is tortuous for even the most seasoned singer,” Judd writes.

The backlash against Swift began immediately after her Grammy night performance, which the New York Times called “painfully out of tune.”

Swift’s label head, Scott Borchetta, rushed to her defense last week, calling her “the voice of a generation” and blaming a technical problem as the culprit behind the pitchy performance.

Judd also praises Swift’s “smarts, manners and class” as qualities young people should admire and emulate.

“If there’s an award for being the best role model for her generation,” she writes, “I’d like to be the one to give it to Taylor Swift.”

Thanks to the teen idol’s rabid fans, the retro-pop singer-songwriter, 27, says she witnessed something “similar to Beatlemania” while on the road with Jonas, 17, earlier this year.

“I was really surprised at the craziness of the fans and how insane they are – and how genuinely sweet,” says the retro-pop singer-songwriter, 27, whose song “Valentino” is on the movie soundtrack to the upcoming Valentine’s Day. “They would spend hours in the freezing cold just to catch a glimpse of him.”

Birch logged some indoor quality time with Jonas, whom she calls “super normal and super sweet.” And also very mature: “The first thing that really surprised me was how much of a leader and how much of a showman he was onstage,” she tells PEOPLE. Offstage, she says, he’s “very quiet and serious.”

When not performing, the pair swapped “funny stories” during lunch breaks and even worked on a duet. “We spent a lot of time one day in his dressing room just playing around. I was playing keyboard and he was playing guitar and we were just trying to work out something, and that was pretty fun,” she recalls.

Phil Harris remains hospitalized in Alaska after suffering a stroke Friday while offloading his vessel, the Cornelia Marie.

“Captain Phil is resting comfortably and is in the care of excellent doctors and nurses,” reads an update on the Discovery Channel show’s website.

Harris has been a fixture on the reality show since its debut. His health became a major storyline during the 2008 season, when he was sidelined after a blod clot passed through his lungs. Doctors said the pulmonary embolism could have killed him.

Harris has skippered the Cornelia Marie for nearly two decades, with sons Josh and Jake serving as deckhands in recent years.

Both are with Harris in the hospital, according to the network, and they “thank everyone for their heartfelt thoughts and prayers.”

Porn bosses at New Sensations are looking for unknowns to fill six leading roles in their new project The Big Lebowski – A XXX Parody.

The vacant parts are those of Jeffrey ‘Big’ Lebowski, Walter, Brandt, Blonde Treehorn Thug, The Stranger and Liam.

Although currently written into the script as non-sex roles, New Sensations executives are open to re-writing the script to incorporate any of the six characters as a sex role for a Lebowski fan who is willing to show the “ultimate dedication”.

Director Lee Roy Myers tells WENN, “We are looking for the most devoted and enthusiastic fans to fill these roles.

“This is my dream project since I am such a huge fan of The Big Lebowski. It is an amazing movie! Sex, bowling, cursing, a cable guy… Lebowski has everything a great pornographic movie needs.”

But there’s a catch – Phillip Seymour Hoffman, John Goodman, Mark Pellegrino and David Huddleston have all been invited to reprise their roles in the porn remake, and they’ll be given preference over look-a-likes and fans.

Scorsese has already featured Francesca, his daughter with fifth wife Helen Morris, in small roles in films The Departed and The Aviator.

But the 67 year old admits she’s more interested in working behind the camera like her dad.

He says, “Today (18Jan10) she’s co-directing her first video with her friends.

“Apparently her (sic) and her friends (wrote) something called Ghostly Girls and (there’s) a ghost at the end. (In the film) they throw pies at each other. But I said not in the house.”

Scorsese returns to the director’s chair later this year with his new movie Shutter Island, which reunites him with Leonardo DiCaprio.

It’s the director’s first feature movie since his Oscar winning picture The Departed, he did however release documentary Shine A Light.

Meryl Streep picked up a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical for her role as Julia Child in ‘Julie & Julia’.

Julie & Julia is an upcoming 2009 comedy-drama film, written and directed by Nora Ephron, depicting events in the life of famed chef Julia Child. Ephron’s screenplay is adapted from two books: My Life in France, Child’s autobiography, written with Alex Prud’homme, and a memoir by Julie Powell. In August 2002, Powell started documenting online her daily experiences cooking each of the 524 recipes in Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking, and she later began reworking that blog, The Julie/Julia Project, into a book, Julie & Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen (Little, Brown, 2005). The paperback was retitled Julie & Julia: My Year of Cooking Dangerously (Back Bay Books, 2006).

In the first major motion picture based on a blog, Meryl Streep portrays Julia Child, and Amy Adams appears as Julie Powell. The film is scheduled for August 7, 2009 release.
