In the crazy entertainment industry, surrounding oneself with quality girlfriends is a must — and Swift has become like family to Gomez and Stone, which is the upside of fame. Swift said, “My friends are amazing and I’m so thankful to have them, [but] the ones that are like sisters to me are Selena Gomez and Emma Stone.” The sisterly bonds between Swift and her pals run so deep that they pretty much know what she is thinking at any given time. Swift admitted, “They can predict my thoughts; I’ve known them for so long it’s really cool to have friends that are that close.” Many of her fans have wondered what it’s like to be inside Swift’s head, but it’s her girlfriends who are actually that in tune with her. Swift has spoken about how she and Gomez crashed a college football game one weekend, while trying to create a normal co-ed experience for themselves, despite being rich, famous and beautiful stand-out-in-a-crowd pop stars.

You know, it wouldn’t be a stretch to imagine Swift, Gomez and Stone in their own sitcom. They’re all stunning and as funny as they are beautiful. Each of them is a member of one of three major hair color groups — blonde, brunette and red — so they have all the makings of a prime time hit. Six months after Green Lantern’s Reynolds filed for divorce from his wife of two years, the couple’s marriage has dissolved.

The papers were filed by Reynolds’ attorney, Laura Wasser, Friday in Los Angeles, Us Weekly has confirmed.

Johansson, 26, began dating Reynolds, 34, in 2007; the stars announced their engagement in May 2008 and tied the knot that September in a remote wilderness retreat in Vancouver, B.C. They confirmed their split in December 2010, shortly after Us Weekly broke the news that the couple was going their separate ways.

Johansson (who recently split from Sean Penn) told Glamour in 2009 that she’s no expert on relationships. “I don’t profess to know anything about marriage that anybody else doesn’t know, or how to make it right,” she told the mag.

Reynolds, meanwhile, admitted things had “changed” since they got married. “I’m a little more guarded, I think,” he told GQ. “I’m a little bit more wary of having my relationship turning into a soap opera.”

Still, he gushed at the time that marriage was the “best part” of his life.

The moviemaker had originally intended to call the new comedy The Hangover 2, but he subsequently changed the titled to The Hangover Part II.

He has now confirmed the title is a deliberate reference to The Godfather Part II – which famously won more Academy Awards than the 1972 original.

Phillips tells MTV.com, “I think there are very few sequels that have been made that live up to or exceed their first film.

“The Godfather is the first one. We had always planned on calling it The Hangover 2, and when we finished the script, I changed the cover page and wrote The Hangover Part II, because I think the film lives up to or exceeds the first one.

“It was very much a nod to The Godfather”.

It’s been a tough week for Lady Gaga.

First, she takes a tumble onstage (again); then she gets taken to task by, of all people, Weird Al Yankovic; then she books the season finale music spot on Saturday Night Live, which would be great were it not for the fact that she now has to compete for attention with its boy wonder host Justin Timberlake; and, just when it seemed the worst was over, she got called out for her casual and offensive use of the word “retarded” in a new magazine spread.

But guess what? Her week is turning around, thanks to her decision to accept a little personal responsibility. Starlets, take note.

Shortly after her unfortunate word choice—which she uttered in reference to the ridiculousness of the comparisons between her and Madonna—Lady Gaga realized the error of her ways and wasted no time issuing an apology for her thoughtless use of the slur.

“I consider it part of my life’s work and music to push the boundaries of love and acceptance,” she said in a statement.

“My apologies for not speaking thoughtfully. To anyone that was hurt, please know that it was furiously unintentional. An honest mistake requires honesty to make. Whether life’s disabilities left you outcast, bullied or teased, rejoice and love yourself today.”

The Special Olympics, which was among the first to publicly decry Gaga’s phrasing, did one better—they accepted her heartfelt apology.

“Rarely a day goes by when each of us doesn’t think of something in the world we’d like to change,” the organization’s CEO Tim Shriver blogged today.

“But most of the time, change is elusive and what we hope will be different just stays the same. But then other times, we see a change right in front of our eyes and it makes us want to cheer. That’s what happened today when Lady Gaga changed.”

After reiterating her apology, he again applauded the pop superstar.

“That is change, unafraid, honest, and I believe sincere change. Wow!

“I know Lady Gaga has millions of fans around the world because of her music, but now she has fans for another reason as well. She’s joined the campaign to open the world’s eyes to the gifts of people with intellectual disabilities and that’s a whole new reason to dance.”

Way to be as cool as we all knew you were, Gaga.

How’d that happen?

The free-spending couple, who have openly discussed Sharon’s love of plastic surgery and shopping, owe more than $1.7 million in back taxes, and the U.S. government has now slapped a lien on one of their homes in Los Angeles, according to papers filed in the L.A. County Recorder’s Office.

The feisty Sharon even took to Twitter to comment on the foul-up and (sorta) explain what happened, placing the blame elsewhere.

So, how’d these two get into this financial mess?

Tax authorities in the U.S. are going after the duo for taxes owed back to 2008. The rocker and his missus are listed as owing $718,948 from the 2008 tax year and $1,024,175 from 2009. One of their many properties, a Hidden Hills mansion in L.A., could now be seized by the IRS. Another target is their $10 million Malibu beach pad.

Just six years ago, the couple was ranked as one of Britain’s richest, but were reportedly hit very hard by the recession and haven’t completely bounced back.

On Saturday, Sharon Osbourne, 58, who is said to be “mortified” with the financial mess, took to her Twitter page to do a little explaining. “You can’t rely on anyone but yourself. But you have to be on top of your own business affairs. My fault…lesson learned.”

The extravagant couple, who are also applauded for their generous contributions to charity and philanthropic efforts, are expected to make the whopping back payment within the next week. If it’s not paid soon, the amount owed could increase significantly.

A 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair survey showed that only 20 percent thought the 17-year-old idol would still be playing packed arenas in 2024, while 18 percent said he’d be married and living quietly somewhere.

Equally famed for his soulful voice and the casual flick of his lustrous head of hair, the 17-year-old Canadian singer was the fourth best-selling albums artist in the United States last year, mobbed everywhere by screaming young girls.

But the squeaky-clean pop star, the latest in a long line of teen sensations, reportedly studies the case histories of similar icons so that he can avoid their career hiccups.

TBS host George Lopez compared “Dancing With the Stars” contestant Kirstie Alley, praised for her cha cha cha on the show’s premiere, to a pig on his TBS talk show Wednesday night.

This came just days after HBO host Bill Maher called former VP candidate Sarah Palin a “dumb tw*t.”

Lopez was belittling Alley’s dancing on “Dancing With the Stars” on his show, “Lopez Tongiht.” “She did a nice job, her little hooves tapping away. Before the show, she went to the market, and then she had roast beef and this is her going all the way home!” he said, before cutting to a squealing pig from a GEICO commercial.

Many were not amused by the callous “joke,” especially considering that 60-year-old Alley has struggled very publicly with weight issues over the years, at one point tipping the scales at 230 pounds and sparking speculation she suffers with a compulsive eating disorder.

“Lopez’s comments were not only demeaning to Alley, who has been incredibly brave and open with her journey toward health, but they were very detrimental to women and girls everywhere,” said Yana Walton, Vice President of Communications for watchdog group the Women’s Media Center. “In a country where eating disorders are an epidemic, where advertising continually implies women are deeply deficient, where media places the majority of women’s worth on their appearances, this is unacceptable.”

“Lopez should use his creativity to make jokes that aren’t this harmful,” Walton said. “And Alley should be judged on her dancing. After all, this is a show about dance – it’s not ‘The Biggest Loser.’”

TBS declined to comment on Lopez’s remarks.

Terri Dougherty, editor of Women Magazine, feels some in Hollywood need to shape up and actually produce some original, funny material.

“Lopez made a cheap shot that simply was not very funny. Dancing is excellent exercise and I’m happy to see Kirstie out there. Making fun of a person’s looks may be a standard part of comedians’ acts, but this certainly was not a fresh or humorous take,” she said.

Author of “Love Your Body, Love Your Life” Sarah Maria said Lopez’s snide jab at Alley is offensive to all women.

“Lopez’s attempt at comedy is cruel, demeaning, and insulting.  In an apparent attempt to make people laugh, Lopez chooses insults over intelligence,” she said. “Did Lopez even graduate from pre-school?  Even without considering Alley’s personal ongoing weight struggle, such a cruel comment is an insult to women and men everywhere. One hopes that after pre-school, maybe at the very latest grade school, children outgrow such hurtful and inane comments.”

The National Organization for Women (NOW) was not available for comment.

But it isn’t only male comedians making disparaging weight-related remarks. Just a few months ago, comedian Kathy Griffin launched a “fat” attack against last season’s “Dancing With the Stars” contestant Bristol Palin, likening her to the 350-pound fictional character “Precious.”

According to experts we spoke to, just because one considers himself a comedian does not make it acceptable to criticize with brutality.

“If we are not constantly vigilant, sexism creeps back into the public media. This is just another example,” said Sondra Hale, a Professor of Women’s Studies and Anthropology at UCLA. “Sexism delivered in the disguise of comedy is still sexism.”

One of the world’s most successful stand-up performers, Sarah Silverman, recently told us that there is indeed a line that needs to be drawn.“I would go with anything I felt was funny, the line for me is if it bums me out or makes me heart feel bad to say,” she said.

But one revelation in the tome will upset fans and friends of the legendary R&B star – she once substituted $1 bills for $100 notes after taking home cash from a concert.

In the memoir, obtained by the Globe magazine, Soto writes, “I certainly didn’t feel like I was robbing the blind. I felt like he was ready to do something he should have done years earlier – pay off my house.”

Soto also reveals she once aborted Charles’ baby – and never told him.

She adds, “I didn’t even tell Ray – there was no reason to know. I definitely wasn’t having a baby.”

The couple became a secret item in 1968 – when Charles was married to his wife Della. A big fan, Soto convinced his manager to set up a date and they had sex that night.

The pair enjoyed an on/off romance over the years and Charles even helped Soto cover her legal fees when she divorced her husband.

She split from him in 1997 after tiring of his womanising ways, but she called him when he fell ill at the end of his life in 2004 and spent much of their phone conversation sobbing.

The teams had to write and perform a story based on at least one of their team members for an audience of 4- and 5-year olds.

Meat Loaf takes control as Team Backbone’s leader, while everyone on Team A.S.A.P. wanted Rinna to be in charge. She reluctantly accepts.

John Rich and Mark McGrath come up with a story about Little Jon, a boy who is an outcast at school. Meat Loaf opened the group’s performance by making a joke about his name, and Rich and Jose Conseco dressed up in drag while Lil’ Jon took on bullies as the story’s protagonist.

The women came up with a story about La Toya the lioness, who had to overcome shyness in order to roar. Marlee Matlin wanted deafness incorporated into the narrative, but Dionne Warwick argued that it would be too depressing for children. That wasn’t the only thing the women bickered over – the also fought for who would receive author credit on the story, while Niki Taylor thought the story’s content was too mature for the audience. Rinna’s authority wavers early on, as others criticize her for not taking control.

Team Backbone took the win, earning Meat Loaf $20,000 for his charity, The Painted Turtle. Former “Apprentice” contestant Holly Robinson Peete, who has written children’s books, said their concept was original, age appropriate, and entertaining, even if their on-stage performance was mediocre.

The judges criticized Team A.S.A.P.’s book for its tiny text and too-sophisticated themes. Rinna brings Warwick and Star Jones into the boardroom with her, as her fighting with them contributed to the team’s loss. But she took too much of the blame for herself, telling Trump that she crumbled under the pressure. It ultimately sends her home – but not before Trump can compliment her on her lip reduction surgery.
