The singer-and-actress – who got engaged to NFL player Eric Johnson on Thursday (11.11.10), six months after they started dating – has reportedly angered her father-and-manager Joe by her refusal to draw up an agreement detailing how the couple’s assets would be divided if they separated.

A source said: “At the moment, Joe is sitting back and being a great father supporting his daughter and his future son-in-law.

“However, you can bet after all the excitement has died down, Joe is going to do everything in his power to make sure Jessica doesn’t walk down the aisle until Eric signs away any right he might have to Jessica’s enormous fortune.”

Friends of the 30-year-old star – who has an estimated wealth of around $100 million – are said to be particularly concerned about her decision not to make Eric sign a prenuptial agreement because she also refused to make a similar agreement when she married Nick Lachey.

When their divorce was finalised in June 2006, Nick walked away with a substantial amount of her finances.

The insider told website PopEater: “Nick walked away with over $10 million of her money when they divorced, because they had no prenup. You would think she would have learned her lesson. But where romance is concerned, Jess’ follows her heart not her head.”

Joe recently took to twitter to congratulate her on her engagement.

He posted: “So very happy for Jess and Eric. May they have a lifetime of joy and happiness.”

Cruz, 36, and Javier Bardem, 41, exchanged vows in front of family members during a small, private ceremony held at a friend’s home in the Bahamas earlier this month, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The bride wore a gown designed by designer John Galliano, a longtime friend of the actress.

The Spanish lovebirds, who are both Oscar winners, started dating in 2007 but have famously kept their relationship out of the public eye. Last year rumors surfaced that the couple had gotten engaged, but they would not comment.

When once asked about Bardem, Cruz refused to confirm whether they were even dating, but couldn’t hold back her admiration, saying, “He’s a friend and the best actor in the world.”

Bardem won an Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role as a killer in 2007’s No Country for Old Men. Cruz took home an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for the 2008 Woody Allen comedy, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which also starred Bardem.

The couple first met while filming Jamon, Jamon in 1992, one of Cruz’s first films.

The socialite – who turned 29 last Wednesday (17.02.10) – belatedly celebrated her birthday with ‘The Hills’ star in Las Vegas on Saturday (20.02.10) and admitted she couldn’t be happier.

When asked if they were planning to wed, she said: “We’ll see what happens in the future, but right now we are so happy to be together and we are really in love.”

Paris and Doug were joined at nightspot Tao by her parents Rick and Kathy Hilton, who appear to have given their daughter’s romance their full backing.

During the evening, Paris tweeted: “Vegas is crazy! I’ve never seen Tao so packed! It seemed like it was New Year’s Eve! GREAT Night!

“What a fun night! My mom and Doug were so cute dancing together! I love how my parents love my love! We all had a blast! Great night! (sic)”

Doug also took to twitter to gush about the family occasion.

The couple – who have been dating for around two years – are set to tie the knot after Dax proposed over the festive period.

“Hopefully because I got married, that doesn’t effect the way I play quarterback,” Brady, 32, said in his weekly radio interview with the Dennis & Callahan show on WEEI Sports Radio. “That’s not something I’ve thought much about … That my performance as a football player is going to go down because I got married or I had children.”

Critics have said that Brady, who led his team through an undefeated season in 2007 before losing the Superbowl to the New York Giants, has seemed distracted this year.

But Brady, who married supermodel Gisele Bündchen in two ceremonies in Santa Monica and Costa Rica last year, and welcomed a new baby, Benjamin, in December, disagrees.

“It’s funny for me – there’s not a lot of things going on in my life other than my career and my family,” he said. “I think my life is very focused,” he added.

Vince Vaughn married Kyla Weber in a small private ceremony before family and friends on Saturday outside of his hometown of Chicago, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.

Vaughn, 39, proposed to Weber, 31, a Canadian real estate agent, last Valentine’s Day. “They could not be happier,” a friend tells PEOPLE. The wedding took place at a historic mansion.

Vaughn told PEOPLE in September that after years as a bachelor he was ready for his life “to be about other people and other things” – even diaper duty. “It’s the first time that I really want to have kids,” he said.

The is the first marriage for Weber and the star of Swingers and Couples Retreat. Vaughn had previously dated Jennifer Aniston.

“I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn’t be happier,” her rep tells PEOPLE. “No wedding date has been set at this time.”

The Ottawa Senators player spoke about the happy event on Monday, according to the Toronto Sun.

“It’s true,” he is quoted as saying. “We’re both obviously excited and very happy.”

Fisher, 29, reportedly proposed at his home Sunday afternoon and then sent messages to his friends with the good news later that day.

The fourth time just might be the charm for Tom Arnold, who wed Ashley Groussman in an intimate ceremony on Saturday in Maui, PEOPLE has confirmed.

More than 75 family and friends attended the ceremony at Shep and Renee Gordon’s home, including actor Dax Shepard, who served as Arnold’s best man. Andrea Groussman was the maid of honor and designed the couple’s rings.

Arnold and home organizer Groussman, who wore a Claire Pettibone gown, met through mutual friends in April 2008. “I knew that if I could get Ashley to fall in love with me, I’d never have to worry about anything else as long as I lived,” Arnold wrote on the couple’s weddingchannel.com page. The two became engaged this past March at Arnold’s 50th birthday party. “I’m the luckiest girl in the world!” Groussman wrote.

All were in play today in downtown L.A., but it’s not exactly what you think.

Richie appeared Monday afternoon in court, where she was granted a permanent protective order against a couple of shutterbugs she had accused of harassing her.

Richie, dressed in a sheer white blouse with her hair pulled tightly back in a bun, showed up with Madden, dressed in a black suit, and gave testimony of a car accident she blamed on the the paparazzi.

But the news that caused the most buzz was her lawyer’s pronouncement of them as husband and wife.

Attorney Mark Geragos repeatedly referred to Madden as “your husband” during questioning of Richie.

And that was news to us.

While Richie and Madden have been together for three years and have two young children, they have not, as far as we know, tied the knot.

There is also no marriage license on file in L.A. County for the duo as of last week.

Afterward, Geragos explained himself. He exclusively told E! News that Richie and Madden have a “common-law” marriage. Richie and Madden, who were standing next to Geragos, didn’t say otherwise.

However, a source close to the couple insisted to E! News that Geragos just misspoke and they aren’t hitched in any sense of the word. (Besides, says family attorney Neal Hersh, the state of California doesn’t recognize common-law marriage.)

As for today’s hearing, Richie faced off with the two photogs, Eduardo Arrivabene and Ivon Emilio Melo Miguel, who she claims hounded her into a car accident last month.

Before Richie took the stand, Geragos prefaced her testimony by telling the court, “She’s not feeling well. She’s been diagnosed by a doctor.”

Richie, who was suffering from the flu last week and ended up missing the launch of her House of Harlow line at Bebe, coughed the entire time as her lawyers offered her water.

During her testimony, Richie detailed the events leading up to the car accident.

“A few of the paparazzi had become more aggressive…trying to get in front of me, trying to get beside me, ran a red light,” said Richie. “I was hysterically crying.”

Richie told the court, “They’re always following me. I’ve seen them inside my property once.”

Madden also took the stand saying, “She’s with the kids 24-7, and she takes them to work. She’s constantly terrified.”

Before making a decision, Judge Carol Goodson said, “The court is extremely concerned about the possibility of a future accident,” then added, “but you’re asking me to weigh the pros and cons of celebrity…They do have a right to earn a living…[Richie] does not have a right to pick and choose her photographers.”

The photogs, who were also present in court, apologized to Richie and “promised” to leave her alone. Miguel claimed he’s never been on Richie’s property.

The protective order extends to Richie and her two children, Harlow and Sparrow, and will expire Nov. 16, 2012. The paps must stay at least 50 feet away from the family and their vehicle.
