The FBI just released the grand jury indictment of a man who allegedly hacked into the email accounts of 50 victims, including dozens of celebrities.

The indictment was issued against 35-year-old Christopher Chaney of Jacksonville, Florida.  He was arrested this morning by FBI agents, on charges of identity theft, wiretapping and other charges.

According to federal officials, Chaney would use public information to access email accounts of his alleged victims, and then access computers and cell phones under the control of his victims.

Some of the alleged victims include Christina Aguilera, Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis, and celebrity stylist Simone Harouche. Some of the ill-gotten materials included naked photos.

As TMZ first reported, law enforcement sources tell us Chaney allegedly acted alone, and got no money for his alleged misdeeds — rather, he did it for the thrill.

Chaney faces 121 years in federal prison if convicted on all counts.

Wow I dont think that was worth it!  Scary that he could do that though with such big celebrities. He better have a top criminal lawyer on his side.

And word out of well-placed Los Angeles poker sources is that Rodriguez is already trying to find poker games for next winter in L.A.

Big deal.

According to the initial reports about the card games that allegedly included A-Rod, a fight broke out over some steep losses. Rodriguez, according to the story, got up and left upon seeing the skirmish. One report suggested that someone — not Rodriguez — used cocaine out in the open at one of the games.

As a scandal, this is a pair of deuces.

Unless there is something more to this story — and MLB will indeed investigate — Rodriguez will not be suspended, people with knowledge of the situation say. He will only be warned and re-educated about how to stay out of bad situations.

This is a worthwhile chat. Rodriguez is a magnet for bad situations and worse publicity (which may explain why he is the only current major leaguer with a coterie of publicists).

Officially, this will be the third time in three years that he has been called to the principal’s office (a.k.a. 245 Park Ave. in New York City, site of the commissioner’s office), and this will be his easiest chat to date. The first one was to discuss Rodriguez’s public comments regarding his steroid usage following Sports Illustrated’s 2009 report that he failed a 2003 drug test. The second MLB interview was over his association with a Canadian doctor being investigated by the federal authorities for dispensing HGH to athletes. (Rodriguez told MLB that he didn’t get HGH from the doctor, Anthony Galea.)

Rodriguez certainly has shown a great ability over the years to get himself into sticky situations and draw negative publicity. The commissioner’s office wants to make sure that the man who is chasing the all-time home run record stays out of any more bad spots. But they aren’t about to suspend him for playing cards, even if someone else got into a fight or used illegal drugs.

The stakes shouldn’t matter, but for the record, the reports suggest that Rodriguez lost what for him is a small amount. One said “a few thousand” dollars, another said $40,000. He makes about $200,000 a game, so relatively speaking, that’s pennies.

The bad publicity part came when one report suggested that there was cocaine out in the open at one of the games. If true, that certainly is not a plus, but that can’t be pinned on Rodriguez, as seeing someone else do drugs isn’t a suspendable offense.

The other negative part was the alleged fight that broke out at one of the games over lost money. It was someone else’s lost money, and someone else’s fight.

The original report was in Star Magazine, which isn’t exactly The New York Times. That report was more about poker-playing A-list actors, including Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire, who were said to be at one of the games. Rodriguez was mentioned as an afterthought.

But when his name attracted the attention of sportswriters, Rodriguez publicist Richard Rubenstein told Newsday that A-Rod wasn’t at any of the card games. This seemed like a long shot, as Rodriguez loves to play cards (the Yankees warned him to stay away from New York poker clubs after he was seen at one in 2005). Then predictably, more confirmation came that he was indeed playing cards, which is no surprise since Rodriguez does play poker.

The new story by the publicist is that there are “factual inaccuracies” in the poker story. It appears that one inaccuracy is that Rodriguez didn’t participate in a poker game in a Miami hotel in November 2009. The publicist didn’t catalog what the “factual inaccuracies” were. The publicist also didn’t address his own factual inaccuracy claiming that A-Rod didn’t play in any of the games.

MLB is within its rights to tell one of its biggest stars to stay out of bad spots, but it’s doubtful that they can keep Rodriguez away from poker games. Rodriguez already is reportedly trying to line up games for this winter in Los Angeles. He has told people that he wants to play and that he’s going to be in L.A. because that’s where his girlfriend, actress Cameron Diaz, is.

It’s hard to imagine that baseball can make a big deal out of private poker games. And it’s hard to believe that it could dissuade Rodriguez from playing in these games. But it can try to warn him about the company he keeps.

Josh Holly was not charged for hacking Cyrus’ accounts and publishing racy photos he found in them, but federal agents found evidence of other crimes when they interviewed Holly and searched his computer in 2008. Holly appeared in U.S. District Court on Monday and pleaded guilty to access device fraud for possessing about 200 credit card numbers that didn’t belong to him.

He also pleaded guilty to commercial electronic mail message fraud for hacking MySpace so that visitors to certain celebrities’ profiles would receive spam messages. Holly was paid more than $100,000 in commissions for steering traffic to a website selling cellphone ring tones, according to court testimony.

Also Monday, Holly answered for violating a condition that he stay away from the Internet while the federal case is pending. Using his cellphone, Holly sent a status update to Facebook that said he was feeling “strong urges” to start hacking again. Judge Aleta A. Trauger told Holly to stay way from the Internet altogether and said she believes he has an addiction.

Ronson was arrested for DUI during her drive from Vegas to L.A. on Monday, as reported by TMZ. Law enforcement sources reported that Ronson’s blood alcohol level totaled more than twice the legal limit.

Ex-girlfriend Lindsay Lohan, a regularly positive influence, and other sources close to Ronson have noticed a recent increase in the DJ’s partying and drinking.

Anthony, 25, was found not guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter of child. She was, however, found guilty of lying to law enforcement on four counts and will face sentencing on Thursday morning.

Despite the jury’s decision absolving Casey from life-imprisonment or the death penalty, the majority of the public still holds the young mother responsible for the 2-year-old’s death.

Though an overwhelming number of people could not find justice in the verdict, Chris Brauns, pastor of the Red Brick Church in Illinois tweeted a link to his blog, advising how Christians ought to respond to the verdict, offering some basic principles.

“Trust God for Justice – Romans 12:19 explicitly tells us that vengeance belongs to God,” he first wrote. “No one is getting away with anything … God who sees all perfectly will deal justly in the timing that it pleases Him.”

Brauns also penned, “Be confident that God loves little girls infinitely and eternally more than any of us.”

Take no revenge, honor the court system, examine yourself, don’t trivialize forgiveness and misrepresent it by saying silly things like, “We all need to forgive Casey Anthony,” were also among his points.

“Situations like this are the opportunity for Christians to point to a balanced view of forgiveness that stresses love, justice, and grace. Casey Anthony is not the only one who will stand before her Creator. We are all sinners, and we will all be there. If we don’t know Christ, then the wrath of God abides on us.”

Rainford, 36, is accused of violating a January court order to stay 200 yards away from any property of the heiress. The restraining order came after Rainford made it past property guards on his bike and pounded on Hilton’s door. He pleaded no contest in January, and was given three years probation.

Rainford is being held in leiu of $20,000 bail after being taken into custody on a tip from a passerby on a Malibu beach near Hilton’s home. “He was hanging around on the beach while Paris was inside,” a witness told The Daily Mail. “Someone recognized him as being the man who had given her trouble in the past and the cops arrived pretty quickly.”

“Deputies identified the suspect as James Rainford and determined a valid restraining order prohibiting him from being within 200 yards of Miss Hilton or her residence was in effect,” the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.

Rainford was sentenced to jail in April after pleading no contest to assaulting Cy Waits, Hilton’s former boyfriend, outside a Los Angeles courtroom. He served 24 days of a 227 sentence.

That’s right our favorite governor from Celebrity Apprentice is headed to the slammer! Rod, who had been charged with attempting to sell the U.S. Senate seat vacated when President Obama was elected in 2008, was in complete shock today when a jury convicted him of 18 of the 20 counts that he had been previously charged with.

Rod Blagojevich was acquitted of soliciting bribes, but the jury was deadlocked on two charges of attempted extortion. After the trial, the former Celebrity Apprentice star said he was “frankly disappointed” and his wife was head whispering “Let’s just go home”. His previous trial ended in a hung jury as Rod maintained his story of innocence.

Dozens of people lined the courthouse awaiting the verdict and boo’s filled the air but no one was more “stunned” than Rod and his wife. No sentencing date has been issued yet, but the word is that Rod could get 7-10 years. I can’t help but wonder what Donald Trump would say right now!

Last week, the TV pitchman was accused of defraiding 222,000 people of $52 million between 2003 and 2007.

From the indictment:

“[T]he 47-year-old Lapre oversaw and promoted a nationwide scheme to sell essentially worthless Internet-based businesses to over 220,000 victims through his company ‘The Greatest Vitamin in the World.’”

“This indictment goes to show that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is,” said U.S. Attorney Dennis K. Burke. “Mr. Lapre used incessant nationally televised info-mercials to hawk his vitamins and worthless websites as a way to get rich quick without working hard.”

Hey, at least the guy had energy. Maybe those vitamins weren’t so worthless after all.

Snoop Dogg has had his probation ended early.

The ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ rapper was sentenced to 60 months probation and 800 hours of community service in 2007 for allegedly possessing a gun and marijuana but a judge has ruled he now only has to complete 49 months, which he has done.

Snoop’s lawyer Donald Etra told gossip website TMZ, he’s “pleased” the court granted the rapper’s petition.

In 2008, Snoop had his UK ban “overturned”.

The star – who was refused entry to the country in 2007 after being arrested and cautioned following a brawl at London’s Heathrow Airport in 2006 – said: “I was wrongfully accused and now I’ve been accepted back in. The decision was overturned. A judge found me innocent and now I’m able to go back there. So, everybody in the UK, big Snoop Dogg will be back to come give you all what you want.”

The rapper, real name Calvin Broadus, claimed “a couple of run-ins and scenarios” had led to his original ban, but insisted there is still a “mutual love” between him and his British fans.

She was said to have grabbed the wrist of a woman who tried to take her picture at the Paul & Andre Hollywood nightclub. The incident was said to have happened in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Reportedly, someone with Lindsay grabbed the snapper’s camera and dropped it into a bucket of ice. A source said, “We didn’t press charges because we thought it was funny at first. We were all drunk. But then we figured out when we got home that the camera was broken because water seeped in. The memory card, though, was still good.”

The snitch went on to reveal, “Lindsay appeared to be belligerently drunk. She and her people were doing shots of something all night. She looked like she was falling all over the place. She was being stupid. When she grabbed my friend’s wrist, another woman who was with Lindsay grabbed the camera. She kept saying ‘I need that camera’ over and over again. So the woman got it and sunk it into the ice bucket.”

Now, Lindsay is denying the reports! Of course she is. She took to Twitter to say, “Site “lies” about @LindsayLohan possibly being “drunk” and in a club “ruckus” ?”

I guess there would’ve been one way to prove it….give her an alcohol/drug test…but it’s probably too late for that now, isn’t it?
