Britney Spears’ paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib has stunned his friends by insisting the singer is expecting his baby.

Pals of the British-born photographer claim he targetted Spears in a bid to make her pregnant, and is bragging that he has succeeded.

The claims appear in the current edition of US magazine Star, alongside pictures of Spears with what appears to be a bulging tummy.

A friend tells the magazine: “Britney is Adnan’s dream come true. He knows that if he has a child with her, he’d be made for life.

“Adnan is a social climber who uses women to get what he wants.”

Ghalib has previously revealed Spears really thought she was pregnant with his child when they were snapped buying pregnancy tests in January.

Britney Spears saw her sons again Monday, while her father sought to quickly end a civil rights challenge to his control of her affairs.

The singer’s children Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, were driven to her Studio House by Kevin Federline’s bodyguard for a three-hour visit.

It was the second visitation in three days; on Saturday, Spears saw her children for the first time since Jan. 3 after working out a structured visitation arrangement with Federline.

It’s ironic, we know K-Daddy wants Brit to have visitation and the lawyers came to court today trying to accommodate that, but it didn’t happen. Daddy Jamie also has wanted to create some normalcy in Brit’s life and wanted visitation restored in a bad way, but it wasn’t meant to be.

TROUBLED pop star BRITNEY SPEARS caused chaos after leaving a trendy LA shop wearing a top she hadn’t paid for.

Her 25 aides and bodyguards then argued with the store’s staff and with cops and fans.

But friends of the star, 26, say she simply forgot to hand over cash for the $200 long-sleeved vest. She was not arrested.

Toxic singer Brit was recently taken out of a Californian psychiatric ward by her dad JAMIE.

Sporting jet-black hair, she had spent Saturday shopping in leopard-print top and jeans. But she then emerged from the hip Fred Segal store in Melrose Avenue wearing the black top.

A shopper said: “Britney seemed to be in a daze. She rushed around looking at coats and bags and then left with her gang of 25 people.

“The staff were just staring at each other, then said ‘I think she’s taken a top’. There was chaos outside with fans and police.”

Brit – in a custody battle over her two kids - tried to put the latest row behind her by going out with her dad to the posh Club Social in Hollywood. They had a quiet meal and left before midnight.

She has previously been accused of swiping a disposable lighter from a garage last December and a wig from a sex shop last year.

BRITNEY SPEARS’ ex-husband has revealed the singer does not want full-time custody of her two sons.

JASON ALEXANDER, whose marriage to the singer lasted just 55 hours after their quickfire wedding in Las Vegas was annuled, says Britney will just have more children instead.

He said: “She wants to see the kids, but she’s doesn’t want to be a full-time mum.

“She said that it doesn’t matter if she doesn’t get them back full-time, and that she can always have other kids later on.

“I don’t think she should have full custody because she needs to focus on her.”

Britney Spears is desperate for California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s help in her ongoing custody battle, according to reports.

The singer - whose lawyers from legal firm Trope & Trope last month filed a motion requesting permission to withdraw as her counsel - allegedly believes her inability to keep an attorney in her custody case with ex-husband Kevin Federline violates her “civil rights”.

Spears’ estranged manager Sam Lutfi reportedly contacted Schwarzenegger’s former publicist to help put the 26-year-old in touch with the state commander.

A source tells the New York Daily News: “Britney says her civil rights have been violated and she wants to talk to Arnold about it.

“She wants the governor to look into why she can’t get an attorney. Sam was chewing on his dinner while he was saying all this into the phone.

“He wanted Schwarzenegger to call him, and he said he’d hand Britney the phone.”

Spears lost the right to visit her sons Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one, last month after a breakdown at her Beverly Hills home at the end of a scheduled visit, which resulted in a three-hour police stand-off.

The buzz at the Grammys was that Spears’ newfound focus on her dancing is preparation for a world tour. Britney “will be leaving the country in the next few weeks,” a source confided to Page Six. “She’ll train in privacy for a month, then go on a global tour.”

Following her unexpected release from a Los Angeles hospital yesterday, the parents of troubled singer Britney Spears have said that they believe her life is at risk.

In a joint statement given to The Associated Press, Jamie and Lynne Spears said they were “extremely disappointed” about their daughter’s release from the UCLA Medical Center where she had been undergoing psychiatric evaluation.

The statement said: “As parents of an adult child in the throes of a mental health crisis, we were extremely disappointed this morning to learn that over the recommendation of her treating psychiatrist, our daughter Britney was released from the hospital that could best care for her and keep her safe.”

The statement continued: “We are deeply concerned about our daughter’s safety and vulnerability and we believe her life is presently at risk. There are conservatorship orders in place created to protect our daughter that are being blatantly disregarded. We ask only that the court’s orders be enforced so that a tragedy may be averted.”

The Los Angeles Times reported that Spears left the UCLA Medical Center quietly with a small security group.

However paparazzi later followed the singer when she left her home.

Spears was tailed by photographers to the Beverly Hills Hotel where police broke up the crowd and escorted the 26-year-old inside.

It was not clear why Spears, who it was reported had been ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluation for two weeks, was released from hospital.

A UCLA Medical Center spokesman refused to comment, citing patient confidentiality laws.

Reformed party-animal Lindsay Lohan has pledged her support to troubled singers Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse by blaming the media for their public downfalls.

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress - who spent last summer in rehab in Utah battling substance abuse - claims the pair will not be able to find stability in their lives all the while they are under the media spotlight.

She explains: “I think lots of people go through dark times, but it’s even harder with everyone watching.

“It’s a lot of pressure and I really feel for them, but I can’t compare myself to them.

“Everyone is their own person and they will overcome it in their own ways.”

Spears is currently being held at a Los Angeles hospital for psychiatric treatment while Winehouse is seeking help for drug addiction at a clinic in London.

But the troubled singer will be staying for another two weeks, with doctors citing a California law that allows patients to be kept for medical treatment if they are gravely disabled or a danger to themselves or others, a source told the AP. Currently, Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, and attorney Andrew Wallet, were granted conservatorship over her personal and financial affairs, but a court hearing is scheduled today to review the matter. Britney was also scheduled for another custody hearing today, but most likely will not make it.
