Jennifer Aniston seems to have found love again with Justin Theroux — but back in 2005, she was still smarting from her devastating divorce from Brad Pitt.

She dusted herself off by signing on for, ironically, The Break Up, the hit 2006 romantic comedy costarrng Vince Vaughn.

“It was a beautiful human story about a couple breaking up…You know, I was slightly familiar on the topic and the issue,” Aniston, 42, confessed during her chat with James Lipton for her Inside the Actor’s Studio appearance.

“I honestly felt like, what a great way to sort of exorcise some of that,” she said of doing the film after the end of her five-year marriage to Pitt, 47, who famously paired up with Angelina Jolie afterwards.

Even The Break Up’s producers balked at asking Aniston to sign on for the flick given its sensitive subject matter, she revealed.

“I was like, why not? Turn the page, let’s move on.”

Her romantic heartache made the role “easier” to do, she said. “I enjoyed it! You’d think otherwise.”

The 47-year-old actor – who raises adopted children Maddox, nine, Pax, seven, and six-year-old Zahara, as well as biological kids Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, with Angelina Jolie – admitted he has “issues” with the religious way he was brought up as a child.

He said: “I got brought up being told things were God’s way, and when things didn’t work out it was called God’s plan.

“I’ve got my issues with it. Don’t get me started. I found it very stifling.”

However, Brad – who plays a father bringing up his family in 1950s Texas in new movie ‘The Tree of Life’ – explained he is keen for his children to see their own upbringing in a positive light, and thinks about how they will feel in everything he does.

He added to People.com: “I think of everything I do now that my kids are going to see when they grow up and how are they going to feel. But they know me as a dad and I hope they’ll just think of me as a pretty damn good actor.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are to be sued by a former employee.

The unnamed woman – who worked as a bilingual secretary at their Miraval chateau in the South of France – was dismissed by a manager at the estate while on sick leave on the grounds her absence impacted on the running of the property and is seeking 80,000 Euros in compensation for unfair dismissal.

Lawyer Emmanuel Ludot said: “It’s a drop in the ocean for these stars.

“She has nothing against them personally and says she was always treated well. But they did not step in to prevent her being dismissed.

“Mr. Brad Pitt, who is also famous for his charity work and adoption of children, should understand that my client needs compensation as soon as possible, and that she’s not asking for millions, just a fair amount for unfair dismissal.

“We hope they will both be faithful to their reputation for humanitarian causes.”

The woman has remained anonymous due to confidentiality clauses in the contract she signed before being employed.

The lawyer said he has deliberately announced the matter now because the couple – Maddox, nine, Pax, seven, and six-year-old Zahara, as well as biological kids Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – are currently in France for the annual Cannes film festival.

A labour tribunal in Draguignan will rule on the case next month.

The two stars joined 12 other people at Hollywood hotspot Beso for a dinner party celebrating their manager Cynthia Pett-Dante’s birthday, PEOPLE reports. In fact, ‘Eastbound and Down’ star Danny McBride was also there.

“They hugged and kissed when they greeted each other,” an onlooker told PEOPLE. “They talked for a while.”

“They were chatting, catching up,” the witness added. “They both seemed happy and totally relaxed, very at ease. And they were both smiling the entire time. It didn’t seem awkward at all.”

Cox and Pitt didn’t sit next to each other at the meal but did get to spend some time together catching up. No word on whether they chatted about Jennifer Aniston. The eyewitness also reports that Pitt chowed on a steak and sipped a beer and even sat at the bar with the patrons for a little bit. “He was really cool.”

The Hollywood power couple released a statement reading: “We are devastated by the news from Haiti. We will work closely with our good friend Wyclef Jean to support the humanitarian efforts on the island and help those who have been injured and left without homes and shelter.”

Musician Wyclef Jean is spearheading the collection efforts – which follow the 7.0-magnitude earthquake which has left “thousands” who are feared to be dead.

Jean told ET of the situation, “I cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is, and idle hands will only make this tragedy worse. The over 2 million people in [capital] Port-au-Prince tonight face catastrophe alone. We must act now.”

“The second World War could still deliver more stories and films, but I believe that Quentin [Tarantino, director] put a cover on that pot. With Basterds, everything than can be said to this genre has been said,” Pitt tells the German magazine Stern. “The film destroys every symbol. The work is done, end of story.”

As for another WWII Hitler assassination movie with a famous Hollywood star, he says there is no comparison. When the Stern reporter mentioned Tom Cruise’s recent turn in a film about a real plot to kill Hitler, Pitt simply said, “It was a ridiculous movie.”

Pitt also revealed what movie he does find note-worthy – even life-changing – Saturday Night Fever.

“When I was a teenager, I saw Saturday Night Fever at our drive-in, but it wasn’t the dancing that electrified me. It was the life and culture in Brooklyn. I’m from Missouri, the southern part of the Midwest in the U.S., and I never heard families talk that way to each other. From that point on, I wanted out to see more of the country and of life.”

The Hollywood couple dampened rumours they are set to split by laughing and gazing lovingly at each other at the ‘Inglourious Basterds’ after-party at the Baoli club in Cannes on Wednesday (20.05.09)
A source said: “Angelina was laughing and smiling and enjoying her conversations. Brad was also smiling, but not laughing. He looked tired, he seemed more reserved than Angelina.”
The couple avoided mingling with many of the other partygoers at the bash in France and their privacy was protected by 10 burly security staff.
The two armed police officers, three bouncers, five bodyguards and their muzzled dogs even made sure the bathrooms were emptied when Angelina or Brad needed to use the toilet.
The pair – who raise six children together – reportedly didn’t leave the bash until the early hours of the morning.
Meanwhile, movie director Quentin Tarantino partied hard at the Parisian-themed party with Mike Myers, BJ Novak and Diane Kruger – who all starred alongside Brad in the thriller.
The source added: “He spent a lot of time dancing on the dance floor by himself. They played lots of cheesy party music as well as popular songs from his movies like ‘Kill Bill’ and ‘Pulp Fiction’.”
