Could this have been her plan all along? I really don’t think so. I do believe Antonella is fairly innocent in all this, but I also believe she is enjoying the results of it. She is, by far, the worst of the female singers remaining, perhaps the worst of the Top 16. But she is still there and will be for a while. I have no doubt she will make the Top 12 and would not be surprised to see her go a lot further.

The picture controversy that has made Antonella Barba the biggest thing on the internet and the most known Idol contestant will not keep her from performing next week.

Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe says he has not seen any of the Internet pictures, and only learned of the sexually explicit shots from EW. ‘’We have really good background checks on everybody, and we deal with that every season,’’ he says. ‘’It’s sad, isn’t it, that your best friends are the ones that come forward with information that will go to Smoking Gun or put your photographs on the web?’’

Nigel comments that “your best friends” are the one to leak the picture so you have to wonder if Antonella’s friend that didn’t make the show was behind the leak.
