Amy Winehouse’s jailed husband Blake Fielder-Civil was rushed to the prison medical block last week after allegedly taking a drugs overdose.

Fielder-Civil, who is currently behind bars in London’s Pentonville Prison, was found vomiting violently and writhing in pain on the floor of his cell after reportedly taking a potentially lethal combination of heroin mixed with an unknown toxic substance with five other inmates.

A Prison Service spokesperson said: “A small number of prisoners were treated in health care following the consumption of an unknown substance.”

Just days prior to the overdose, Fielder-Civil had been sentenced to solitary confinement after failing three random drug tests.

He has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice and will stand trial in June.

The 25-year-old is accused of attempting to fix the outcome of a previous trial for grievous bodily harm.

Amy Winehouse is giving one of her Grammy Awards to her imprisoned husband.

The troubled singer - who won five prizes at the prestigious US music ceremony on Sunday - wants Blake Fielder-Civil to display the trophy in his prison cell as a symbol of their love.

A source said: “Amy is planning to give Blake one of her beloved Grammy Awards to prove how much she loves him.”

Prison guards at London’s Pentonville Prison will check the golden gramophone-shaped prize thoroughly to make sure there is nothing hidden inside.

Security must also declare the statue can’t be used as an offensive weapon.

Amy dedicated one of her five awards to Blake - who is currently awaiting trial on charges of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice - on Sunday.

The ‘Rehab’ star - who performed at the ceremony from London via a satellite link due to problems with her getting a US visa - said: “This is for my mum, my dad and my Blake, my Blake incarcerated.”

This chick is crazy but super cool! She obviously is very talented as well, but she seems to be destined to follow in the footsteps of a Janis Joplin or Jimi Hendrix.   I wonder how long this grammy will last in prison, I hope her Blake is a real bad ass because otherwise someone is going to take that grammy.  Don’t drop the soap Blake.

Amy Winehouse Is On the Road to Recovery

Amy Winehouse’s mother has spoken of her pride at her daughter’s Grammy success and her hopes that the troubled star is on “the road to recovery”.

Winehouse won five Grammy awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year for her autobiographical hit ‘Rehab’, but could not attend the ceremony because of visa problems, performing instead via satellite from London.

Her mother Janis Winehouse told GMTV today: “Well, as you saw, she looks good and it’s a case of she’s on the road, and that’s what it’s about, she’s on the road to recovery.”

She said it was probably best that her daughter did not end up going to the LA ceremony.

“I think it would have been too much for her because all of the travelling and flying there, I mean seeing what the Grammys was like … we could see it live from there and I thought if Amy were there, she’d be lost in it, she’d be a little girl lost in it.”

Mrs Winehouse said of her performance: “Well, it’s Amy coming back, she’s definitely on the way back.”

She spoke of the family’s fears for the singer’s health before she entered a London rehab clinic, saying: “She was sort of with it but not with it, and that’s the thing where I think fortunately, thank goodness in our family, she’s got a solid family and we’re all there for her.”

Reformed party-animal Lindsay Lohan has pledged her support to troubled singers Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse by blaming the media for their public downfalls.

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress - who spent last summer in rehab in Utah battling substance abuse - claims the pair will not be able to find stability in their lives all the while they are under the media spotlight.

She explains: “I think lots of people go through dark times, but it’s even harder with everyone watching.

“It’s a lot of pressure and I really feel for them, but I can’t compare myself to them.

“Everyone is their own person and they will overcome it in their own ways.”

Spears is currently being held at a Los Angeles hospital for psychiatric treatment while Winehouse is seeking help for drug addiction at a clinic in London.

British singer Amy Winehouse has promised fans she will keep away from booze - but only before she performs at concerts.

The ‘Rehab’ hitmaker, who was recently arrested in Norway for marijuana possession, told her tour organiser on Monday she will stay away from alcohol until after her gigs.

An insider says: “This tour started pretty much as the last one ended. Berlin was a difficult time for everyone and we thought it was going to turn into another tour full of drunken and missed shows.

“But she’s now said that she will not drink before her gigs for the rest of the tour. She stuck to it in Amsterdam, amazingly, and gave her best show of the tour yet. Everyone just hopes she keeps it up.”

The European tour ends in Manchester, England on 13 December.

Any Winehouse Refuses Rehab

amywinehouse Any Winehouse Refuses Rehab

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has vowed to follow the advice of her hit song ‘Rehab’ and never go back to a treatment facility, despite her recent alleged drug problems.

The 23-year-old is currently taking time out of her pop career to focus on “health issues” following her hospitalisation last month after three days of hard-partying.

But, during a surprise appearance at Tuesday night’s Mercury Music Prize awards ceremony in London, Winehouse declared she has no intention of seeking expert medical treatment to combat addiction again.

Speaking to British newspaper the Daily Mirror, she said: “I’m of the school of thought where, if you can’t sort something out for yourself, no one can help you. Rehab is great for some people but not others.”

She added: “Normal people spend time thinking, ‘What am I going to do with my life?’ I spend my time drinking.”
