Having gone sort of public as a couple just last week, Alex Rodriguez is already cheating on Madonna with Melissa Britos, according to celebrity gossip sources.

All the way back in mid-November, A-Rod allegedly met and came “obsessed” with Melissa Britos, a model, at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach opening party.

One of the model’s friends said, “He became obsessed with her. He sent her at least a dozen text messages, asking her to spend time with him.”

A few days later, the Rod was seen dropping Melissa Britos off at her hotel and she wearing the same clothes she had on the night before. Oooh!

Then, this past weekend, which Madonna and Alex Rodriguez spent part of together, he was also at Miami’s LIV nightclub checking out other women.

ne of A-Rod’s friends told In Touch about his playing of the field:

“Alex is definitely excited by Madonna and wants to spend time with her. But when she’s not around and he is left to his own devices, he still wants the company of other beautiful women He can’t help it. It’s in his nature.”

Madonna who was first romantically linked A-Rod earlier this year before announcing her divorce from Guy Ritchie - has reportedly been gushing to close pals about the sportsman.

A source said: “Madonna is smitten with Alex. She told a close friend that he has the heart of a poet trapped inside an insanely gorgeous body.”

It has also been claimed Alex has regularly been sending the mother-of-three “love notes”.

The source also added to the New York Post newspaper: “Alex has been writing Madonna these sweet, personal and rambling expressions of his feelings - sort of like old-fashioned love notes.”

It was recently claimed Alex is so keen to make his relationship with Madonna work that he is moving in a bid to be closer to the singer.

A source close to the sportsman said: “A-Rod was living in an apartment on Columbus Circle, five blocks from Madonna’s New York base in Central Park West. But now he wants to move three blocks north to 15 Central Park West - meaning he would only be two blocks away from Madonna.”

Madonna and Alex Rodriguez were spotted enjoying dinner together earlier this week.

The singer and the baseball player - who were rumoured to be having an affair earlier this year - sat in “an alcove-like table” at the back of New York eatery Dos Caminos Third Avenue on Tuesday (30.09.08).

A source told Usmagazine.com: “They seemed very close.”

While Madonna was initially blamed for Alex’s divorce from wife Cynthia, the 50-year-old star has always denied the claims - insisting she is happy in her seven-year marriage with husband Guy Ritchie.

“I have learned over the years not to take accusations and the many false reports about me very seriously. I also appreciate how fiction and fact seem to be perceived as one and the same by people who read both newspapers and the internet.”

What is wrong with this man? He can have dinner with essentially any single(or probably married) women on the planet and hes taking out a used up old pop star. I don’t know, this kind of freaks me out.

The Terms of Settlement for Arod’s Divorce have not been released.

His wife, Cynthia, says A-Rod left his children emotionally abandoned and had a series of affairs. Of course I have no idea went on with A-Rod and his family, but give the superstar credit for playing 162 baseball season every year and nonetheless being one of the best there is.

Her lawyer also said Rodriguez, 33, had an “affair of the heart” with Madonna that was the “last straw.” Which is a headline I took a second look at.

Cynthia asked to keep the family’s $12 milion dollar Florida mansion and wants a piece of A-Rod’s $28 million a year salary.

But, in A-Rod’s response, he argued that the divorce settlement should be determined by their prenup, which Cynthia signed a month before their 2002 wedding.

He admitted the marriage was “irretrievably broken,” but noted Florida is a no-fault state for divorce cases and chastised Cynthia for mentioning “immaterial and impertinent” issues like his alleged “extra marital affairs and other marital misconduct.”

“They deliberately engaged in a private negotiation,” Rodriguez’s lawyer tells the Daily News. “This was and remains a personal family matter for both of them.”
