Will Smith looks set to revive his rap career.

The actor-and-singer – whose last album, ‘Lost and Found’, was released in 2005 – is thought to be in line to begin work on a comeback album with producer La Mar ‘Mars’ Edwards, who is hoping to start up the Hollywood star’s music career again.

Mars told XXLMag.com: “We’re working on Will Smith, bringing him back. That’s actually him on the other line right now.”

The 42-year-old hunk – who shot to fame during his time in 1990s TV comedy ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ – has released four studio albums, including 1997 hit ‘Big Willie Style’, which featured US Billboard Hot 100 chart number one single ‘Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It’.

Since the release of his last album, Will – who has been married to actress Jada Pinkett Smith since 1997 and has two children with her, Jaden, 13, and 10-year-old daughter Willow, who are both music stars – has featured in major films including ‘I Am Legend’, ‘Hancock’ and ‘Seven Pounds’.

Willow appears to have been inspired by her father’s rap music interest as last year she explained Tupac – who was shot dead in 1996 – is her number one hip-hop star.

She said: “On my iPod I have Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Billy Idol, B.O.B. Eminem, Tupac – he was my mom’s best friend.”

The 41-year-old actor, who has played the role of Agent Jay in the last two installments in the series, has to decide between making a third film in the alien franchise or work on fantasy adventure ‘The City That Sailed’, according to Variety.

Director Barry Sonnenfeld has signed up for ‘Men In Black 3′, but ‘The City That Sailed’ has yet to find a director – the story was created by ‘Truman Show’ writer Andrew Niccol.

The fantasy movie tells the tale of a New Yorker whose daughter lives in the UK. The young girl discovers magic candles in London, which allows her to wish for anything she wants, however, when she wishes to be closer to her father, the island of Manhattan begins to sail across the Atlantic Ocean.

If Will were to choose ‘The City That Sailed’ over ‘Men In Black 3′ it would be something of a gamble – the past two films have grossed a combined $1 billion worldwide.

Will has been lying low recently, and has not appeared on the big screen since 2008’s ‘Seven Pounds’.

Will Smith has been named the most bankable star in Hollywood.

The ‘Seven Pounds’ actor topped Forbes.com’s Star Currency list, which ranks stars according to their financial power at the box office.

Will Smith stands alone as the only actor to score a perfect 10 among industry voters in the Star Currency survey.

Forbes said: “Will Smith stands alone as the only actor to score a perfect 10 among industry voters in the Star Currency survey.”

John Burman, of Forbes Media, has praised Will’s acting talents, saying: “He can move from doing the pop film to an ‘Ali’ to a ‘Seven Pounds’ to ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’, so he’s able to play in all worlds and I think people just like watching him on screen.”

Will’s last eight films have all opened at number one in the US box office, and worldwide his three top-grossing films alone have made more than $2 billion.

Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Angelina Jolie all tied for second place in the survey, with a star currency score of 9.89.

Factors used to determine stars’ currency ratings included the box office success of their films, the ability to attract financing for a project and their appeal to different audience demographics.

Lately Will has been putting in plenty of doting dad time before he starts promoting Seven Pounds, but we all know that tomorrow he’ll take time out from being an actor and family man to hit the voting booth with the rest of us.

Pinkett Smith will play Nancy Hawthorne, which the network describes as the strong but caring director of a nursing hospital in North Carolina, a single mother who places the pain of others first.

In terms of her role off-screen, Pinkett Smith, 37, acknowledges that neither she nor Will exerts a particularly heavy hand.

“We’re not strict but we definitely believe it’s a very important component for rearing children,” she told PEOPLE last month. “It creates safety for them. They understand that they need guidance.”

Still, if a member of their brood wants to sneak an extra sweet, Pinkett Smith acknowledges with a laugh that her husband is the more lenient one.

“He’s so lenient on that stuff,” she says with a sigh. “Daddy tends to [say], ‘Yeah! Have chocolate cake for dinner! It’s all right with me.’ I’ll come home and it’s just, ‘Has anyone had lunch?’ ‘Yeah, I had some Frosted Flakes!’ ”

The pair star in the forthcoming superhero film and one scene required Smith to raise his hand to Theron and despite practicing a “fake slap”, when it came to filming the scene for real, Theron claims he slapped her for real, although this has been met by denials from Smith.

She explains; “He tried to fake slap me one time, but the fake one just didn’t happen. We’re still debating this one. I think he just hit me! But Will claims I leaned into his hand and that’s how it happened. I was so shocked! I was like, ‘He just slapped me!’ “But he said, ‘I did not slap you. I had my hand there and you turned into it.’”

Luckily the incident hasn’t soured their relationship, she adds, “We’re just like kids, it’s so much fun. He’s not a woman beater!”

Will Smith is delighted with the effects of losing weight for new film I Am Legend as his new physique has enhanced his sexual prowess.

The Ali star, 39, married actress Jada Pinkett in 1997, and has two children with her – Jaden, nine, and Willow, seven.

And according to Smith, losing a stone (14 pounds) for his latest film role has helped reignite the passion in the couple’s relationship.

He says, “There are wonderful elements of being in shape that keep a marriage going, so it’s important to me to stay in shape and in good condition.

“You know, if you marry a little firecracker, you’ve gotta stay in shape!”

Didnt he get into super shape for the movie Ali, he gained like 20 pounds of muscle. SO I guess that wasnt enough for Jada! I think Will Smith just loves to motivate himself and thats why he’s one of the best actors around.

Will Smith has distanced himself from Scientology.

The ‘I Am Legend’ star and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith were introduced to the bizarre sci-fi cult by friend Tom Cruise, but Will has chosen not to become a follower.

He said: “I don’t necessarily believe in organised religion.

“I love my God, my higher power, but it is mine and mine alone, and I create my connection, and I decide how my connection is going to be. I believe that my connection to my higher power is separate from everybody’s.

“I don’t believe Muslims have all the answers and all the beliefs. I don’t believe Christians have all the answers and beliefs, or that Jews have all the answers.”

Despite his scepticism, Will – whose wife Jada is still believed to be an active member of the Church of Scientology – insists everybody has the right to believe whatever they want.

The 39-year-old actor added to US TV show ‘Access Hollywood’: “I was introduced to Scientology by Tom and I’m a student of world religion. I was raised in a Baptist household, I went to a Catholic school, but the ideas of the Bible are 98 per cent the same ideas of Scientology, 98 per cent the same ideas of Hinduism and Buddhism.

“When I sit and I talk with Tom, he is one of the greatest spirits that I’ve ever met – someone who is committed to making the world better.

“You have people who are attacking and want to fight that don’t know nothing – how you going to not know nothing about Scientology and attack somebody? It’s dangerous and it’s ignorant.

“How can I condemn someone for what they believe and I believe that God was born from a pregnant virgin?”

Just one more reason Will Smith is one cool guy.
