Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are to be sued by a former employee.

The unnamed woman – who worked as a bilingual secretary at their Miraval chateau in the South of France – was dismissed by a manager at the estate while on sick leave on the grounds her absence impacted on the running of the property and is seeking 80,000 Euros in compensation for unfair dismissal.

Lawyer Emmanuel Ludot said: “It’s a drop in the ocean for these stars.

“She has nothing against them personally and says she was always treated well. But they did not step in to prevent her being dismissed.

“Mr. Brad Pitt, who is also famous for his charity work and adoption of children, should understand that my client needs compensation as soon as possible, and that she’s not asking for millions, just a fair amount for unfair dismissal.

“We hope they will both be faithful to their reputation for humanitarian causes.”

The woman has remained anonymous due to confidentiality clauses in the contract she signed before being employed.

The lawyer said he has deliberately announced the matter now because the couple – Maddox, nine, Pax, seven, and six-year-old Zahara, as well as biological kids Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – are currently in France for the annual Cannes film festival.

A labour tribunal in Draguignan will rule on the case next month.

That’s the not-unwelcome future that Angelina Jolie sees for herself, as she considers her hectic life as one of the most hounded women on the planet. The Oscar winner, 35, says she doesn’t really understand all the attention she gets, but she knows she’s not alone among celebrities.

“I don’t find myself that interesting in that way,” she said Tuesday on NBC’s Today show. “But I feel like it happens to everybody. It’s just that it’s a weird time right now. There’s just so much of all of that, for everybody. It’s just, it’s a new world.”

But she has an out. Eventually her youth will desert her – and with it, perhaps, the cameras. “I just assume the older I get, the more it’ll go away,” she says. “The more private I’ll become.”

Jolie also returned to a favorite topic of recent days – her fondness for Johnny Depp, her costar in The Tourist. “He’s as lovely and as interesting as you could hope for,” she says.

And she chats about her six kids with partner Brad Pitt – in particular, how she imagines they will feel several decades from now, looking back on their childhoods.

“Hopefully they are happy, and they know that they were loved, and that they were encouraged to be who they are, and not pushed into something that they’re not,” she says.

“Hopefully they’ll be the strong, beautiful individuals that they are today, and be happy in their lives, be fulfilled in their lives, and be living their lives honestly.

The ‘Changeling’ actress – who is currently visiting earthquake-hit Haiti in her role as a UN Goodwill Ambassador – laughed off reports she and partner Brad Pitt are planning to take on the care of an orphan from the disaster-stricken nation, but admits they haven’t ruled out expanding their family further in future.

She told CNN: “I’m always open to children around the world. We’re that kind of a family; Brad and I talk about that.

“But that’s not what we’re focusing on at this time, by any means. We’re not here for that. We’re here to see how we can help protect the children in country and scale up the needs here.”

Angelina and Brad are already parents to three adopted children, Cambodian Maddox, eight, five-year-old Zahara, from Ethiopia, and Pax, six, who hails from Vietnam.

They also have three biological children, Shiloh, three, and 19-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Earlier this week, Angelina call for a restriction on adopting Haitian children in the aftermath of the disaster.

She said: “New adoptions should definitely not be encouraged as an immediate response to the emergency. Haiti had many trafficking problems before the earthquake and now must keep a very close watch on the children. I would encourage as much support as possible to groups like UNICEF providing care for children in country.”

The Associated Press reports that the star toured Dario Contreras Hospital in Santo Domingo. A rep for the hospital told the AP that Jolie “spoke with several children and a Haitian woman who recognized her and requested help.”

Just yesterday, Jolie was spotted in Miami with partner Brad Pitt at the Super Bowl game.

The Hollywood actress, a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, spent a day at the Dadaab Refugee camp on the Kenyan border to see the conditions that 285,000 starving Somali refugees live in.

The camp, built to house just 90,000, was set up to aid people who have escaped the terror of their own country and fled into Kenya.

Jolie, who hopes to bring the plight of the Somali people to the public’s attention, met a number of families at the camp – and was appalled at the way they had to live.

A source said: “Angelina was laughing and smiling and enjoying her conversations. Brad was also smiling, but not laughing. He looked tired, he seemed more reserved than Angelina.”
The couple avoided mingling with many of the other partygoers at the bash in France and their privacy was protected by 10 burly security staff.
The two armed police officers, three bouncers, five bodyguards and their muzzled dogs even made sure the bathrooms were emptied when Angelina or Brad needed to use the toilet.
The pair – who raise six children together – reportedly didn’t leave the bash until the early hours of the morning.
Meanwhile, movie director Quentin Tarantino partied hard at the Parisian-themed party with Mike Myers, BJ Novak and Diane Kruger – who all starred alongside Brad in the thriller.
The source added: “He spent a lot of time dancing on the dance floor by himself. They played lots of cheesy party music as well as popular songs from his movies like ‘Kill Bill’ and ‘Pulp Fiction’.”

The actress, visiting the UK to promote the Clint-Eastwood directed movie which opens next week, said her character, whose son goes missing, was similar to her actress mother Marcheline Bertrand, who died from cancer in 2007.

“A single mom in 1928 was a difficult place to come from. [She] didn’t command any respect,” the actress said of her character Christine Collins. “Because I couldn’t relate to it, my mom wasn’t [there in] 1928, but there was something about her.”
